About the position:
The role of a home support worker is to offer tailored to individuals in their own home as long as needed. Home support workers offer personal care and companionship for seniors, individuals with disabilities and others with varying abilities.
Support Services
Assist clients with daily housekeeping duties such as dishes, cleaning floors, dusting, meal preparation, laundry, etc.
Assist clients with personal care such showers, dressing, mouth care, etc.
Take clients out for errands such as doctors' appointments and for groceries
Medication reminders
Telephone reassurances
Palliative care
Requirements
Hold a certificate/diploma in one of the following Personal Care Aide, Personal Support Worker, Personal Care Attendant, Health Care Attendant, or are currently enrolled in a nursing program
First Aid & CPR
Social Development
Criminal Record Check
Own vehicle preferred
