As a Flight Nurse with Ambulance New Brunswick’s air ambulance program, Brynne provides care during some of the most critical and vulnerable moments in a patient’s life. 💙

Working alongside Critical Care Nurses, Advanced Care Paramedics, and medical control physicians, Brynne helps transport critically ill patients between facilities across the province, providing advanced care in fast paced and high-pressure situations.

“I was drawn to nursing because I’ve always enjoyed connecting with people and being someone, they can rely on,” says Brynne.

“Nursing stood out to me because it brings those together.”

“I think what I value most is knowing I can make a difference, even on someone’s worst day,” she says.

“It’s not just the clinical care, it’s the compassion, the advocacy, and the human connection that truly make a difference.”

On April 28 each year, the Day of Mourning, we remember those who have lost their lives on the job.

Pause. Reflect. Remember. Renew. At 11 am, we will honour workers who have died, were injured, or became ill from their job, and will renew our commitment to health and safety in the workplace.

Life-altering or fatal workplace injuries and illness are devastating and far reaching, significantly impacting the lives not only of the workers and their families, but also of their co-workers, employers, and their communities.

On this Day of Mourning let us honour those New Brunswickers, and all other workers who have lost their lives and renew our commitment to creating healthy and safe workplaces. We must ensure every worker returns home safely to their loved ones at the end of each day.

Last fall the Village of Grand Manan held the grand opening of the island’s new air ambulance hangar. The hangar is a major improvement for the on-island air ambulance program, providing access to emergency health services and sustainable medevac capability. 📞 National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week | Staff Spotlight

As we celebrate National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on Mila, one of our dedicated Emergency Medical Dispatchers, who has been part of the MCMC team for the past 3.5 years.

For Mila, one of the most rewarding parts of the role is the “unpredictable-ness” of every shift. No two calls are ever the same, and as she shared, “you never know what’s waiting on the other side of the line.” It’s this ever-changing environment that makes the work both meaningful and rewarding.

Beyond the calls themselves, Mila also values the strong connections built within the team. She spoke about how coworkers can become “more than coworkers” and turn into “some work friends,” highlighting the supportive and close-knit environment that makes MCMC such a special place to work.
