Something wild happened last Tuesday.

During the Pattern Breakthrough Masterclass, we used a random generator to draw the winner for the grand prize.

The name that came up? Tammy.

Then, 90 minutes later, Tammy ended up in the hot seat.

Not because she won the prize.

Because when I asked who wanted to go deeper, she raised her hand.

Here's what happened in those 15 minutes:
Tammy thought her problem was "showing up authentically."

But when we dug deeper, her real value emerged: Honesty.

Not authenticity. Not vulnerability.

Radical, uncomfortable, life-saving honesty.

Tammy's a retired RCMP sergeant. 24 years of service.

I told her something that landed:
"Honesty is one of the purest forms of love. When you really love somebody, you have the hard conversations. You say what needs to be said, even when it's uncomfortable."

Her name was drawn by a random generator BEFORE she had the breakthrough.

Like the universe knew she was ready.

I woke up one morning with an elephant on my chest.

Couldn't breathe. Couldn't move. Just this crushing weight.

My first thought wasn't "Something's wrong."

It was: "I don't want to do this anymore."

Not life. Just this version of it.

The one where I had the great salary, the Wall Street title, the pension, the security—all the things that were supposed to mean I'd "made it."

But every morning? That elephant was there.

Here's what nobody tells you about patterns:

They show up in your BODY before they show up in your bank account.

Mine showed up as:
3 years of fibromyalgia
Toxic relationships
Depression I couldn't shake
Social drinking and smoking just to quiet the void

I thought I was handling it.

I thought burnout was the price of ambition.

I was wrong.

During Tuesday's masterclass, I watched someone have the same realization I had 13 years ago.

They thought their problem was "being more authentic."

But when we dug deeper?

Their problem was being HONEST.

Honest about what they really wanted. Honest about what wasn't working. Honest about the hard truths they'd been avoiding.

Tuesday's Pattern Breakthrough Masterclass revealed something I didn't expect.

I asked the group: "What's the pattern underneath all of this?"

The answer came back in unison:

"Fear of being honest."

Not fear of failure. Not imposter syndrome. Not lack of strategy.

Fear of telling the truth.

I need to tell you about an incredible human who’s changing the world - Tammy Ward.

Brilliant leaders make decisions based on instinct and call it intuition.
Instinct is convincing. It sounds logical. But logic and wisdom aren't always the same thing.

So how do you tell them apart?

The difference between relief and resonance.
Relief says "Thank God I can avoid this discomfort, play it safe." It feels like an exhale, collapsing inward. That makes you smaller.

Resonance says "Yes, this is aligned. It's going to stretch me, but this is the right move." It feels like grounded expansion, certain even in uncertainty. That makes you bigger.

If you're always choosing relief, you're not building a business. You're building a comfort zone.

Everything you want that you don't already have lives outside your comfort zone.
The question isn't "Does this feel safe?"
The question becomes "Does this feel aligned?"

Think of it like this: Relief is a hotel room. Resonance is home.
A hotel can feel comfortable, even luxurious, but you're not building your life there.
Home might need work, might require investment, but it's yours—what you're building.

Let me call out the 3 excuses I hear most often.
And more importantly—the truth behind each one.

Excuse #1: "I can't afford to change this right now"
Translation: You're prioritizing short-term comfort over long-term gain.
The truth? You can't afford NOT to change.

You're borrowing from your future self to fund your current compromise. And trust me, future you is PI**ED about this arrangement.

Excuse #2: "Once this happens, THEN I'll make the change"
"Once I hit the revenue goal, once the kids are older, once the economy stabilizes..."

Reality check: There will never be a perfect time.
The pattern? You're putting a condition on your own integrity. You're the one imposing the condition, not anybody else.

Excuse #3: "What if I'm wrong? What if I just need to push through?"
You're standing at the edge of a pool, checking the temperature, asking if anyone else is jumping first, wondering if there are sharks.
Meanwhile, you're burning up in the sun.
The pool is fine. You're just scared of the splash.
Your body is giving you data. Listen to it.

Here's what's important to know:
These are protection mechanisms.
Your subconscious is trying to keep you safe—from discomfort, uncertainty, other people's opinions, your fears.

But the cost of staying stuck is always greater than the cost of change.
So let me ask you: Which pattern is your Achilles heel?

You are way more intuitive than you think.
You've been getting the signals, sensing that something's off. The confusion? You're getting 2 signals at the same time, and nobody has taught you how to tell them apart.
