One of the reasons why taking care of myself and feeling good physically, mentally, and spiritually is so important to me is because, hey! I had her at 39, almost 40 years old, and when she’s like 10 and I’m 50, not only do I want to feel good—let’s be honest, I want to look good too! 💃💪🏼 Who wants to be stuck in their head feeling self-conscious instead of enjoying their life? Eat more raw fruits, vegetables and leafy greens. Natural, unprocessed and from the earth. Eat the best quality foods you can afford. Eat mindfully without guilt. Reduce your reliance on animal products. Limit processed package foods and remove ingredients you can not read.
DON’T BE TO HARD ON YOURSELF, don’t get caught up on labelling your eating style with strict do’s and don’ts and be flexible about your choices. An unrestricted and gentle approach to food is your best strategy to making healthy a lifestyle.

Here are a few oils you want to avoid in cooking and ingredients:

1. Canola Oil
2. Soybean Oil
3. Corn Oil
4. Sunflower Oil
5. Safflower Oil
6. Cottonseed Oil
7. Palm Oil
8. Grapeseed Oil
9. Rice Bran Oil
10. Peanut Oil
11. Anything that says vegetable oil

These oils often contain high levels of omega-6 fatty acids, can oxidize easily and over time, they can contribute to inflammation

1. Inflammation
2. Liver Stress: vegetable oils place a burden on the liver, making it harder for the organ to detoxify the body.
3. Digestive Issues: vegetable oils can disrupt the digestive system, leading to problems such as bloating and indigestion.
4. Brain Fog: these oils can contribute to cognitive issues, including brain fog and difficulty concentrating.
5. Weight Gain

Remember to also be mindful of the ingredients listed on processed foods. Many of these oils can sneak into your diet through pre-packaged snacks, dressings, and more. Always check the labels and opt for natural, whole food ingredients whenever possible. 🌿

We are truly what we digest, absorb, and what we can eliminate.

How far away from nature is the food you’re eating?

The beverages you’re drinking?

Are you sleeping well?

What are you consuming? What do you read, watch, and listen to? Does it bring you a sense of joy, laughter, happiness, inspiration… or does it cause fear, anxiety, anger, sadness, and stress?

Do you spend time outside in nature?

Do you allow yourself time to be quiet and listen to the messages of your soul, gut, intuition? Do you listen and act on these messages?

Do you move your body daily?

These are some important questions to ask yourself.

Your body wants good health; your body knows exactly what it needs to do.
