Advocating for yourself doesn’t necessarily mean the outcome is what you most desired.

It’s about knowing your options and being supported in the route you want to take.

It’s about knowing you can change your mind at any moment, that you’re allowed to trust your intuition.

There is no right way to birth, the important is that you feel empowered along the way. ❤️

My Labour Prep Movement + Flow class is live!

Create space, calm your mind, and prepare your body for birth.

This 30-minute online yoga and movement class is designed for when you’re 38 weeks pregnant or more. As you near the threshold of labour, this practice supports you in staying present, grounded, and physically prepared—so you’re ready whenever baby is.

You’ll be guided through mindful movement, breathwork, and grounding techniques to:

Create space in the hips and pelvis to support baby’s positioning

Support the nervous system with calming breath and grounding techniques

Strengthen mental focus and trust in your body’s natural process

Ease common late-pregnancy discomforts

No yoga experience needed. Just bring your breath, your body, and a willingness to tune in.

After birth, it can feel like you’re on such a high! You’re finally not pregnant anymore, you’ve met your beautiful new baby, adrenal is at peak. 📈

Then it wears off, suddenly you’re on month 3 of sleep deprivation, you can’t remember the last time you’ve done something for yourself and you feel like a shell of who you once were.

The keys? Remember the first year postpartum can be really tough. Lower your expectations of yourself and know that just surviving is perfectly okay. Add in small moments of taking care of yourself; a warm drink, 5 minutes of movement, a walk by yourself around the block. Don’t forget to remind yourself how amazing of a parent you are and it feels hard, because it is hard. You’re doing your best. 💪🏻

We loooove to overcomplicate things, especially surrounding health and wellness, and into pregnancy and postpartum.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, come back to the simple concept that any movement is better than no movement.

That 20 minute walk at lunch? Amazing for you!
10 minutes of stretching after work? Your pregnant body will thank you!
A couple squats while holding your cute baby? Helps you get stronger 💪🏻

Yes, there are fantastic prenatal/postnatal programs and yes, I whole-heartedly think that pregnant folks can benefit greatly in reducing pain in pregnancy, having easier birth experiences and feeling stronger in their bodies in postpartum through perinatal specific programs, but remember that the best exercise for you, is that one that you will actually do.

I think as a perinatal professional, sleep and support are the two biggest factors in the new parent/postpartum struggle, and if I could figure out how my clients could get enough of both, that would be my greatest wish for them.

What would be your greatest wish for the new parents in your life?

Meet the belly bolster!

This bolster allows you to lay face down for a massage during pregnancy and if you miss sleeping on your belly, this can be HEAVENLY! Some things to know:

1. It’s not right for everyone. If it’s not totally comfortable, if you feel light-headed or nauseous, or pressure in the belly, it means it’s not a fit and you can go to side-laying.

2. It’s mostly comfortable up until the beginning/middle of the third trimester. For some it’s comfortable right up until the end.

3. You can switch it up at any point during the massage. If part-way through it doesn’t feel good anymore, we can switch to side-laying.

Have you used a belly bolster in pregnancy before?

If you’re new here, welcome!

My name’s Anna and I love all things pregnant, birth and postpartum 🤰🏻

My aim is to empower women throughout their perinatal journey, to feel better in their bodies and stack the cards in their favour for an amazing pregnancy, birth and beyond.

My main modalities are massage therapy and yoga, and I’m currently doing my doula training. I attended my first birth this week, and I am OBSESSED.

I had two c-sections myself, one not so positive and one extremely healing experience, and helping c-section birthers recover and take care of their scars is another one of my passions.

When I’m not nerding out about birth, I’m hanging out with my two boys and hubby, or attending any and all fitness classes (I love Pilates, barre, spinning, yoga, zumba, conditioning, you name it, I’ve probably tried it).
