ॐ नमः शिवाय

AUM Namaḥ Śivāya 🙏🏼🌙

In the cosmic dance of destruction and creation, Śiva, the timeless ascetic, weaves the fabric of existence.

His third eye blazes with the truth of the universe, a beacon in the darkness.

In profound silence, he sustains the cosmic balance, where each heartbeat echoes the rhythm of life and death, the eternal cycle of being.

𓆗

The Triśūla 🔱 represents the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Śiva, each responsible for creation, preservation, and destruction, respectively.

Also, the triśūla symbolizes the three guṇas—sattva (balance), rajas (activity), and tamas (inertia)—which are the fundamental energies governing the universe.

In addition to these meanings, the triśūla symbolizes the three fundamental aspects of life: Pingala, Ida and Sushumna, or the masculine, feminine and the divine - referring to the three basic nadis in the energy system.

स्वेदः संजायते देहे योगिनः प्रथमोद्यमे ।
यदा संजायते स्वेदो मर्दनं कारयेत्सुधीः ।
अन्यथा विग्रहे धातुर्नष्टो भवति योगिनः ।।

At the yogi’s first attempts, sweat is produced on his body.
When sweat is produced, the wise yogi should rub it in or the essential constituents of his body will be lost.

𑁍 From Śivasaṃhitā (Shiva Samhita) text, chapter 3 on Practice, verse 46 𑁍

Śivasaṃhitā, meaning the collection (of verses) of Shiva, is considered the most comprehensive treatise on hatha yoga, addressed by Shiva to his consort Parvati, recommending that all householders practice and benefit from yoga. ꕥૐ

Ancient Hatha Yoga scriptures & teachings advocate a mindful approach to practicing asanas, emphasizing the principles of steadiness and comfort, breath awareness, alignment, and precision. ☽☼

The coordination of movement with breath in a flowing sequence, gradual progression through postures, and holding them for extended periods fosters stability, strength, and a deepening of awareness.

Relaxation within each pose and a balance between opposing forces are key, along with individual adaptation to factors like time, place, and personal capacity.

Incorporating bandhas and mudras enhances the energetic and meditative dimensions of the practice.

Asanas in Hatha Yoga go beyond physical exercise, serving as a holistic tool to align the body, mind, and spirit, requiring practitioners to approach the practice with mindfulness, respect, and self-awareness.

A Guru is not someone who comforts you.
A Guru is someone who makes you willing to destroy all that is limited in you. I am not dedicated to your comfort. I am dedicated to you breaking barriers within yourself. ~Sadhguru

My gratitude to this incredible being ♡
Happy Birthday Sadhguru!

Why Isha Hatha Yoga in Armenia?

I met Sadhguru during Inner Engineering program back in November 2006, in the United States. It was a life transforming experience, and my life shifted completely since then. When I had a chance to exchange a few words with Sadhguru a year later, knowing I was an Armenian descendant, he told me he had been to Armenia and that he also owned a duduk. He asked me why I had not yet visited Armenia. And I wondered....

In 2014, after a several years of Yoga practice and advanced programs with Sadhguru, I spent 6 months in India, at the Isha Yoga Center, to be trained as an Isha Hatha Yoga Teacher. I have been teaching since then in North America and in Europe. Then that day came when a deep calling had been urging me to visit Armenia. When I first visited Armenia in 2008, I fell in love with its land, its people, its culture with which I had grown to learn from across the world. I knew that I had to spend more time in Armenia. I knew that I wanted to share the powerful tools of Isha Hatha Yoga on the land of my ancestors.

I am planning to spend more time in Armenia starting 2020. I am very excited to plan events, programs and projects, in English and / or in Armenian, all around Armenia and in Artsakh. I wish to inspire and share these teachings for wellbeing. I am looking forward to connecting with you all in Armenia!

Namaste,
