A little testimonial from our guest at last weekend's Abilities Expo in Edison, NJ. We thank them for making the trip with us.🛻

“Thanks for inviting me to the Disability Expo this past weekend, it was a lot of fun. I got to see so many mobility options for different needs... I personally live with LGMD R24, which is a rare muscle disorder that targets the shoulder and pelvic muscles.

When you’re in public, people tend to stare and make you feel like you don’t belong, (personally I have issues where I feel worthless and helpless at times). Growing up, I was always bullied by words or mocked for the way I walked. I tried not to let it bother me, but deep down I just wanted to feel equal.

My favorite mobility device was the wheelchair that could climb stairs. That device was so advanced that people can feel human again and attend events with stairs. Another favorite was a compact travel scooter that folded up to the size of a carry-on suitcase to fit on a plane and had a handle for travel and can even store in small places. I can’t wait to attend another expo, with more advanced device options.

I will end with this; please remember to be KIND as you never know what someone is going through in life.”
