⚖️ THE GUT HORMONE CONNECTION

Did you know that gut issues can lead to Hormonal Imbalance?

♻️ As our hormones also go through recycling + monthly excretion, it is crucial to have a healthy microbiome to help filter out any excess/inflammatory hormones from the body.

⚖️ A gut-hormone connection for EXAMPLE :If you have ever noticed a change in bowel movements before your cycle? Well this is down to progesterone which slows down motility in the gut - therefor you might feel slightly constipated a week before your period 😕

⚖️The estrobolome is a collection of bacteria in the gut which is capable of metabolising and modulating the body's circulating estrogen. It is the bacteria in the gut, and the estrobolome, that affects estrogen levels, which in turn can impact weight, libido and mood.

👉🏻The Estrobolome regulates circulating estrogen (as well as other toxins the liver normally filters out) using an enzyme known as beta-glucuronidase which can be measured on a functional stool test.

Poor gut health can contribute to and even worsen hormonal related conditions including:

➡️PCOS + insulin conditions
➡️Thyroid conditions
➡️Mood + anxiety like symptoms
➡️Maintaining + balancing levels of progesterone + estrogen
➡️High oestrogen-dominant conditions

✨SEED CYCLING TO BALANCE YOUR HORMONES ✨

✨Seed cycling has been a valuable piece to restoring hormonal balance in women.
It works so well because the hulls of the seeds contain chemicals called lignans which help modulate the hormonal pathways of the body while the seed oils are comprised of essential (or omega) fatty acids that provide the building blocks for steroid hormone synthesis. As each seed type contains variations of these lignans + fatty acids, rotation of these seeds through the month provides the body with the variety of precursors it needs to create normal hormonal cycles.

The cycle can be done according to either the menstrual cycle (if it is fairly regular) or phases of the moon (if the menstrual cycle is absent or too irregular).

✨FOLLICULAR PHASE:
From days 1-14 of the menstrual cycle have 1tbsp per day of a mixture of ground flax + pumpkin (oestrogen supporting) seeds.

✨LUTEAL PHASE:
From days 15 – 28 of the menstrual cycle have 1 tbsp per day of a mixture of ground sesame + sunflower (progesterone supporting) seeds.

👉🏻If you are in menopause take 1 tbsp of the estrogen supporting seeds and 1 tbsp of the progesterone supporting seeds a day.

✨How to use your seeds:

One or two tbsp per day can be used. You can eat the seeds on salad, cereal, vegetables, porridge or smoothies.

A relaxed mind is a healthy soul and body. 🤍✨it had been a minute since I have been to my yoga classes, with school and family, my time is limited.

✨It took a long time for me to find a path that I am absolutely passionate about, i love cooking but I also love the health field and helping people. I love the entrepreneur life and making my own schedule , having a connection with people. I manifested this , this year and my dreams are slowly coming true. I was infertile for two years, had miscarriages, an underactive thyroid, hormonal problems, weight issues. I made many changes in my life since and I am grateful for this change and this path. ✨In 2023, I am looking forward to accomplishing your health goals wether it is to address the root problem and help solve or if its just to have a healthy lifestyle!
