woman, and she quickly fell in love with the practice and philosophy. She went on to earn a RYT 500 certification from Akhanda Yoga in Rishikesh, India, and has been teaching ever since. Her classes are focused on cultivating balanced energy, stillness of the mind, and reconnection to the Self, while also encouraging presence, service and community. 🐢 Just take the first tiny step.

Sometimes it takes me so long to start something because I’m not immediately meeting my own unrealistic expectations. Maybe you’re reading this because you experience similar thoughts and feelings.

Let’s work on that together.
✨ I no longer expect myself to be immediately good at the new thing.
✨ I no longer expect myself to progress quickly.
✨I no longer expect myself to know everything about it before I start.
✨ I no longer expect myself to have all the perfect tools and supplies.

Yoga looks like this ^ for many people because it IS yoga. Progress looks like this for many people because it IS progress. Taking the weight off the hips with a support under the thighs releases hip tension and allows the knees to drop.

Just take the first tiny step. 🐢

Humble Beginnings - India 2019

Ashram Life, New Connections and Graduation!

On the 28th of February 2019 I graduated from Akhanda Yoga in Rishikesh and, after 10 years of practicing yoga, became a certified yoga teacher. Since then I have been teaching and practicing with so many amazing people around the world.

How I miss the beautiful people, vibrant culture and ashram lifestyle! Thankfully I am now one of the many bringing this culture and learning into the world to anyone who seeks a guide. What’s more I get to meet new people constantly, learning from them all as I go.

I love teaching this practice, especially in the Akhanda Yoga style. All Akhanda Yoga by Yogrishi Vishvketu classes are structured systematically yet artfully to help align the physical, energetic, mental/emotional and intuitive self through the five elements of practice. These five elements are meditation, breathing, sound work, movement, and yogic philosophy.
