Steven Chernikeef on why he will not return the original Alice A. Bailey documents and papers (discovered in an apartment closet in Ronconkoma, Long Island New York in 1993) he bought from an unknown seller for an unknown price to their rightful owners the Lucis Trust.

Steven has been buying first editions of occult books and such for a while now, paying some fairly high prices. Its part of his Libra rising (anitques) 12th house Virgo sun nature - the librarian, archivist.

However his obvious disdain and personal attack against The Lucis Trust is evident. Let’s look at his own words on the subject and learn from his point of view.

“Lucis Trust would not publish this and would probably shred or burn it as they have with lots of other material because they want to hide some of the information and they want to destroy the past”

Interesting story. Here it is.

Isobel Blackthorn was contacted by an unknown person as a result of her book on Alice. He had gotten wind of it and offered her the cache of documents from Alice but for a price. Dear Isobel (will send chart later) very paranoid and sensitive (heavy Neptune ) was taken back and so deferred to Steven. He contacted him. Spent some months going back and forth before working out a private deal wherein the sellers name would not be disclosed. It is Steven himself that refuses to disclose the fee he paid. When I first asked him he got so dissed we split up. He said that was an aspirants question and showed where I was really coming from . So not transparent or open. The seller was given the papers by a girl that moved into a newly vacated apartment in Ronconkoma, Long Island.He didn’t know it was right down the 495 from Jackson Heights where MW lived in 1950’s. I told him and gave him the address on top of the 1950FB letter head.

The seller received the box from the girl who found them in a closet. Strange? Yes. But true. She had no interest or care. Kept them for a year or two then in 95 gave them to him her neighbor (boyfriend maybe, they haven’t spoken in years) who also didn’t care open or look. After 20 years or so he opened so the name figured they might be worth something and tried to sell to LT. They demanded back and threatened to sue. Basically he said f**k you and tried to sell to Sotheby’s. They were not interested said to obscure. He tried to sell for a few years. Vic told me he contacted her too.

He is a q***r chap and Steven said he was afraid to ask him even the name of the building or apartment number

I know Steven thinks he’s been chosen by the hierarchy as custodian. Fine. But why not scan and then return originals to LT their rightful owners ? Is it not implicitly an attack on LT not to do so? Maybe it would help restore some tarnished luster. He is not allowing the point of view to be expressed on his forum which is a natural one and can be dealt with fine discussion. Why does he shut it done? I hope the papers haven’t gone to his head. It was I by the way that gave him the Long Island address of Marian, the Lb connection to the box the ronconkoma connection and much more even with her death in 93 while the box was in shipment.

He also claims to be the amanuensis of an initiate from the ashram of KH and channeled his new invocation of discipleship to be used as a supplement to the Great Invocation.

Isobel Blackthorn author of Alice Bailey Life and Legacy parted ways with him early this year for many reasons including the fact that she thought his group of 12 work was just like the forbidden by DK work of new groups of nine started by Marian and carried on until her death in 87 with like even Sir John Sinclair and Vera Stanley Alder.
