You don’t close the identity gap with a dramatic reinvention.

Trust me… I tried that.

The big declarations.
The “From now on, I’m a different person.”
The loud promises.

That’s not what creates real change.

You close the identity gap in small, quiet moments:
When you honor your word to yourself.
When your behavior reflects what you know is true.
When you choose you — even when no one is watching.

It’s not loud.
It’s not dramatic.
It’s self-trust in motion.

And that’s how your identity shifts.

Gratitude can silence your growth.

You can love your life…
and still feel something shifting.

But when you keep saying,
“I should just be happy with what I have,”
and override that quiet knowing?

Self-trust weakens.

Growth doesn’t mean blowing up your life.
It means noticing the shift.

Because what happens next is what changes everything.

You’re not unhappy…
but you’re not fully alive either.

In this week’s Sunday Reset, I’m talking about the identity gap — the space between the happiness you show and the truth you’re quietly living.

From the outside, it works.
There’s love. Stability. Responsibility.
Nothing is “wrong.”

And yet…
There’s restlessness.
A thinning of enthusiasm.
A quiet whisper: This doesn’t work anymore.

You’re not miserable.
But you’re not fully expressed in your life either.

That in-between space?
That’s the identity gap.

Self-trust changes your decisions.

When you truly trust yourself, you stop choosing what drains you.
You stop following paths that don’t contribute to your growth.
You stop doubting your inner knowing.

Instead, you pause.
You breathe.
You ask: What would create greater for me?

What’s greater for you creates a ripple — in your life, your relationships, your impact.

Self-trust isn’t selfish.
It’s alignment.

Here’s what shifted inside our Choosing You sessions:

Women stopped chasing confidence.

Because you don’t need more confidence.
You need alignment between what you know… and what you do.

Confidence is the byproduct.
Alignment is the work.

The woman who trusts herself is congruent.
She moves when she knows.

Becoming that woman isn’t a feeling.

It’s a choice.

You don’t trust yourself because you keep breaking promises to yourself.

Not the big ones.
The small, quiet ones.

“I’ll start tomorrow.”
“I’ll go for a walk.”
“I won’t say yes if I mean no.”

And then you override it.

Self-trust isn’t lost in one dramatic moment.
It erodes in micro-betrayals.

So here’s the rebuild:

Keep one small promise to yourself daily.

A 10-minute walk.
A glass of water first thing in the morning.
Five minutes of journaling.
One calm no this week.

It doesn’t have to be expansive.
It has to be consistent.

Identity shifts through repetition.
Through honoring your word — especially when no one is watching.

Because at the end of the day, you’re the one in the mirror.

And self-trust is being able to say:
“I showed up for myself today.”

If you haven’t watched the full video on rebuilding self-trust yet, go watch it now.

This is where it starts.

Is now the time to let go of what’s holding you back and embrace the kick-ass life that’s been calling you??

Where do you see yourself 6 months from now…and what do you think is holding you back?

These are the first two questions I ask my clients as we get to know each other in our discovery session.

It’s important for me to hear what your hopes and dreams are and what you are asking to create for your future.

Can I share some truth? These are questions I wish someone had asked me years ago. I grew up wondering how come I didn’t fit into the world around me? What I realize now is that I was creating beyond my own perceived limitations.
