Ayurvedic Thai Yoga Massage
A customized approach to the Thai Yoga Massage experience as the therapist, in consultation with the client, determines an individual's "dosha" or Ayurvedic mind and body type.

There are three doshas in Ayurveda - Vata, Pitta and Kapha - and individuals possess all three but in different proportions which makes each individual unique. This personal massage, along with recommendations on nutrition, lifestyle and yoga, restores the body's balance in accordance with one's Ayurvedic constitution.

Sessions: 90 mins & 120 mins.

Experiencing Thai Massage Therapy
A Buddhist form of physiotherapy, Thai massage is generally credited to the Buddha's personal doctor, Shivago Komarpai, often referred to as the Father Doctor, who brought the practices to the monasteries to relieve the discomforts the monks experienced after long hours of meditation.
Developed from a form of massage originated in India more than 2,500 years ago, Thai massage incorporates yoga and massage into a session not only to relief patients from stress, also to realign the body along its Sen lines - much associated with the Chi Channels of Chinese massage and the Nadis from the Indian method - to benefit the body as a whole.
Thai massage is one of the three components of Traditional Thai Medicine and a flowing form of massage that incorporates elements from acupressure, reflexology and hatha yoga as well as rocking and meditation to provide relief to aching muscles, stimulate the lymphatic system, promote relaxation and increase the flow of the energy throughout the body.
Thai massage is increasing becoming popular as more people look for an alternative therapy to relief their stressful lifestyle.
The principles behind this unique form of massage therapy are based in Asian energy (chi) flow balancing theories that form the foundation of traditional Asian medicine. Unlike Swedish massage or deep tissue massage, which is found in sports massage or neuromuscular massage, Thai massage training focuses less on the manipulation of the deep tissues and more on stimulation of pressure points and use of yoga asana to open the flow of chi. Thai massage is a completely different experience from a Swedish massage
