🌟Abundance Is Everywhere🌟

At a time when it can often feel like we don’t have enough—enough time, energy, money—it’s important to remember that abundance still surrounds us. It lives in the small, beautiful moments: a smile from a stranger, a moment of stillness in nature, the act of giving without expectation.

We’d like to share a little abundance with you.
We’re offering free figs to anyone in our community. Whether you’re in need, love figs, or just feel like receiving something sweet from the earth, please come and take a bag. No questions asked.

Pick-up Details:
Figs will be available at the top of the driveway at 2678 Beaver Creek Crescent
Wednesday, August 6
Between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM
If you feel called to give something in return, we are gratefully accepting donations to our Learning Centre, which provides hands-on learning experiences for neurodiverse kids. 100% of what is given will go directly toward supporting access to these educational opportunities.
That said, no exchange or donation is necessary. This is simply a gift, shared in the spirit of community and care.

Farewell for Now, Rocking Horse Stables🐴💛

We would like to send a huge thank you to Rocking Horses for the incredible horse therapy sessions this season. Our time with you has been filled with connection, growth, and learning. 💫

The children truly enjoyed supporting the horses with their self-care routines—brushing their manes, offering them gentle walks, and sharing in the joy of feeding them. These beautiful moments have helped build confidence, empathy, and calm.

While we say goodbye for now, we’re already looking forward to reconnecting during our summer programming. Until then, thank you for the magic you bring! 🌻🐎

We wrapped up our week with a splash of learning!
Our adventure took us to the City of Nanaimo’s Watershed, where the kids discovered how our water gets cleaned and ready to use. They loved exploring the big machines and diving into some hands-on sensory play.

Learning through real-world experiences is what we’re all about — and this one was definitely a hit!

We’re excited to start another fun-filled week tomorrow with more adventures, learning, and laughter!

Summer Job Opportunity – Support Worker for Neurodivergent Youth Programming

Are you passionate about supporting neurodivergent children in a fun, inclusive, and creative environment? Join us for a short-term summer position from June 30 to July 11, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

You’ll be working alongside experienced staff, helping high-needs kids enjoy field trips, group games, art, crafts, outdoor adventures, mealtimes, and personal care (including toileting support).

This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking for meaningful short-term work—with the potential to transition into our year-round educational programming!

Requirements & Info:
• Wage: $20–23/hour, based on experience

Happy Earth Day from A Taste of Learning!
Today, our learners rolled up their sleeves and showed some serious love for our planet. We planted seeds and flowers, took a neighborhood walk to collect trash, and created a beautiful Earth art project using recycled cardboard and materials.

Through hands-on activities, we explored the importance of caring for our environment and discovered how small actions can make a big impact. We’re so proud of our learners for their enthusiasm, creativity, and care for the world around them!
