Our Spring programme has wrapped up, and what an incredible experience it was! It was a truly successful and fun season filled with great energy, smiles, and unforgettable moments. 💪✨

A huge thank you to Country Grocer, Panago Pizza, and McDonalds for your generous support—it helped make this programme so special for everyone involved.

We’d also like to extend our appreciation to the Wildlife Recover Centre and Amber at Zumba for their kindness and accommodation. Your support played a big part in making everything run smoothly!

On this Family Day, we honour that families come in many forms. We are so grateful to be part of yours, and for you to be part of ours. 🤍

Huge thank you to the Nanaimo District Regional Watershed team for welcoming our students yesterday.

Learning where our water comes from, exploring the dam, and spending time on the land was such a meaningful experience for everyone. We’re so grateful for the care, knowledge, and generosity that made this day possible 💙

Winter carries a quiet medicine. It invites us into rest that is felt rather than forced—through stillness, sleep, and listening to the body’s subtle cues. When we slow and soften, regulation and restoration begin to unfold in their own time, guided by an inner intelligence that knows how to heal and integrate.

In this slowing, many of us touch a vast inner space—a fertile, womb-like ground where insight, healing, and creation gather before taking form. It doesn’t ask for effort, only presence. We meet it in simple moments: lying on the floor and letting the body sink, breathing deeply without trying, listening to the waves, hugging a tree, or tending to the quiet language of dreams.

As we move toward 2026, may we honour this rhythm. May we choose slowness where it’s needed, connection where it’s healing, and trust in what is quietly being reborn within us. From this place, remembrance, belonging, and new life naturally emerge.

Today was the last day of our program before winter break and the last turkey was given away. With that being said I wanted to give a huge heartfelt thank you to Linnia Etkmannski and her team at Livewire Catering. Your donations help those who need it most this time of year and I know a lot of families are going to have a beautiful turkey dinner because of you.

We are truly so lucky to have experienced such an incredible fall with the Milner Gardens 5 Visits Program. The beauty, learning, and connection we shared made this season unforgettable. A heartfelt thank you to Pam for your wonderful ideas, stories, and steady presence. Your guidance brought so much joy and inspiration to our time so far and we are excited to see you again soon.

This week in the Learning Centre, we reflected on the meaning of peace through activities that encouraged calm, compassion, and connection.

Together, we explored what it means to find peace within ourselves, in our shared spaces, and in our wider community.
As we pause to remember and honour those who have devoted their lives to peace, we extend harmonious gratitude to all who walk this world with kindness and intention. May our actions continue to move us toward understanding, unity, and lasting peace.
