We are truly so lucky to have experienced such an incredible fall with the Milner Gardens 5 Visits Program. The beauty, learning, and connection we shared made this season unforgettable. This week in the Learning Centre, we reflected on the meaning of peace through activities that encouraged calm, compassion, and connection.

Together, we explored what it means to find peace within ourselves, in our shared spaces, and in our wider community.
As we pause to remember and honour those who have devoted their lives to peace, we extend harmonious gratitude to all who walk this world with kindness and intention. May our actions continue to move us toward understanding, unity, and lasting peace.

🎃 What a wonderful Halloween week we had! 👻
From baking spooky witches’ finger cookies 🧙‍♀️🍪 to soaking up the crisp fall air at Silver Meadows Farm while picking the perfect pumpkins, our days were filled with festive fun and laughter. 🍂🎃
We loved gathering around the open fire mid-week for some wholesome food, cozy warmth, and beautiful connection. 🔥✨

🧡 Truth and Reconciliation Day | September 30 🧡

Today, we honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities. As an education centre, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous peoples and recognize the importance of learning, listening, and committing to meaningful change.

Truth and Reconciliation is not just one day. It's a continuous journey of understanding, acknowledging past injustices, and working toward a more just and inclusive future.

We encourage everyone to:
🔸 Wear orange in honour of the children and Survivors
🔸 Take time to learn about the history and legacy of residential schools
🔸 Listen to Indigenous voices and stories
🔸 Reflect on how we can all contribute to reconciliation

📚 Education is a powerful tool for change — and we are committed to fostering awareness, compassion, and action within our community.
