Cravings are a way that our bodies are communicating on a deeper level.
For example:
Cravings for things like
🍰🍫Sweets, such as chocolate & cake ect. Might actually be is lacking love & connection, loneliness, sadness, not getting enough sleep, not drinking enough water.
🍟🍿Salty crunchy cravings might actually be anger, stress, mineral deficiencies, not enough sleep or water.
🍷🍺Alcohol or drug cravings are very much the same. You might be lacking love & connection, coping with stress, bored or lonely, trying to fill a void.
The next time you have an unhealthy craving pause, do some deep breathing and go inward. Establishing a mindful connection between what you want versus what you need.
Ask yourself "What is the actual feeling or emotion behind the craving?"
Most importantly don't beat yourself up there is no such thing as perfect. Healthy is a journey & a lifestyle not a destination to be reached.
What matters most is what we do most of the time consistently for lasting sustainable results.
