Hi all, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break! Now that school is back in session it is time for club events to commence!
Last semester it was a bit difficult for me to plan events as the events that I did plan only had 2-3 people attending. But this semester I am hoping to do some more things and have you guys join me! Some of the things that I have in mind are a practice MMI session, a presentation/discussion about the MCAT and Canadian Medical schools, and maybe some more fun things! I also have an organization hoping to do a presentation to us about their program, Elective Africa. It sounds like a really amazing opportunity, so I am hopeful that enough of you are interested in having them come and give a talk.
Our first meeting of the semester will be Monday, January 29th, at 6 pm in building 355 room 108. At this meeting I am hoping to get some ideas from you guys as to what sorts of events you would like to club to hold, in addition to getting to know you guys, as we all have similar life goals! I am looking forward to what this semester holds for the Pre-Med club, and I will see you on the 29th!

Don’t forget about the operation tournament tonight! Building 355 room 108 from 6-9pm. It is going to be a total blast, prizes for first, second and third place! Feel free to bring your friends, there will be snacks and juice supplied! See you then! :)

Coming up this Friday (Oct 27) is VIU Pre-Med Club's first operation tournament! There will be snacks and prizes and fun had by all! It will be held from 6-9pm in building 355 room 108. What better way is there to distract from all this studying than by performing surgery on a guy with a big red nose?

Hi everyone! Welcome to the new school year! If you would like to be on our e-mail list this year, come and see me (Calista) in the fishbowl to sign up! I will be in here today until 1, and again after 230, and tomorrow I am available from 1130-4 and will likely be in the fishbowl. I look forward to seeing you! :)

Hey Everyone!
I'd like to say thanks to those of you who could make it to the MCAT/Admissions night, I hope everyone took away some new information! If you couldn't make it don't worry I realize the date may have been inconvenient what with the evolution midterm and organic formal lab. Everyone had some excellent questions and I think we all learned from it, so thanks again!

Our next event will be on Nov 30th in a room yet to be determined so keep an eye out for an email with that information.

As requested the Slides for the MCAT/Admissions night will be sent via email. All the relevant links for various schools and organizations can be found in the slides themselves.

For those who don't know, a new version of the MCAT has been released that is now being written. You can even write it here at VIU!

Assessment Services provides entrance and placement testing on campus at no cost, for a variety of Vancouver Island University's programs.
