So I came in yesterday with 2 infections, pneumonia and a urine infection. I was also very confused the last few days, doing things like calling my mom at 3:00 am and asking Jay if we were the only ones in the house yesterday as I was cleaning the kitchen (again). I was having a full conversation with him, then I looked over to where I thought he was, and no one was there. I said, 'Oh, yes, you're at work.' My lungs got really bad, and I actually had to wear an adult diaper because I couldn't control my bladder at all. I said I would share the good times and the bad. The chemo nurses stressed the importance of rest after treatment. I am getting 2 different types every 21 days; it's strong chemo, so no matter how I feel after treatment, especially with the steroids in play, I need to stay put. The doctors have said exercise in moderation is okay, even going to one dragon boat practice a week is good. If I go to the gym, I could get sick, and I am tempted to do more. I love indoor rowing; it works all areas, and I can go at my pace safely. I am sharing this because I have learned the importance of resting no matter how I feel after chemo 🤕💤🏥💔😴.
