Friday and yesterday were sunny and warm so I took full advantage and did an indigo vat! It was just what I needed, no email, no interruptions, just warm sunlight and tending the pot and gardening slowly for hours.
Happy belated Autism Appreciation Day/Month for those who celebrate! I know it’s technically acceptance, but I like appreciation much better. 🥳 Happy flappy hands and info dumping! (Or whatever unique thing you do that feels just right)

There’s something about colour that makes me feel like it’s my personal raison d’etre. It’s certainly not an accident I became a dyer. It might seem a bit silly, but looking at colours really ‘floats my boat’. I’m pretty sure my work as a dyer has been therapeutic for me, and I hope for others too. I hope you find something that makes you smile today. 😄🌈 I made these on a whim today, and the best part was seeing the colours as I mixed up the frosting. I used raspberries, red cabbage, turmeric and spirulina. The recipe was vanilla cupcakes and buttercream frosting from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World.

Self Striping and a whole bunch more colours are now in the shop. I focused on just Hyades and Pleiades yarn this time so there are plenty to choose from for your Autumn sweaters, socks, hats… 😄
