On New Year’s Day, my passion flower bloomed.
Not in spring.
Not when things are light or easy.
But right here, at the edge of a year that is asking for honesty, embodiment, and real change.
And the sky tells the same story.
We are standing at a threshold.
Mercury is at the very final breath of Sagittarius, preparing to step into Capricorn. This is a shift from meaning to application. From vision to structure. From what we believe to what we are actually willing to build.
Capricorn energy is dominant right now. Earth energy is holding the field. This is about the body. The bones. The systems that support your life and make longevity possible.
And yet, so much of the sky is out of bounds.
The Moon.
Mercury.
Venus.
Mars.
There is a powerful feminine current moving beyond the usual rules. Emotions that refuse to be neatly contained. Desires that will not be quieted. Action that is no longer driven by force alone.
The Moon out of bounds in Gemini asks a simple but profound question. What are the real options available to you this year? Not the ones repeated out of habit or obligation, but the ones you may have stopped allowing yourself to imagine.
Mars, Venus, and the Sun are forming supportive connections with the South Node. This is not destruction. It is release. Letting go of habits that quietly harm the body. Patterns that drain vitality. Ways of living that pull you away from your truth.
At the same time, that same trio is supporting the North Node in Pisces. An invitation to live with more flow. More pleasure. More creativity. More nourishment. Not as an escape, but as a way of life.
Pisces reminds us that healing does not come from pushing harder. It comes from softening into what restores us.
Vesta in Capricorn brings the question of devotion into focus. What are you truly committed to now? What is worthy of your energy and attention?
Opposite Jupiter in Cancer, the conversation becomes embodied. Do you trust yourself yet? Do you trust your intuition? Do you trust your body to guide you home?
Jupiter in Cancer asks us to expand safety within ourselves. To nourish differently. To simplify. To stop overextending in ways that exhaust us.
Chiron’s square to Jupiter brings leadership into the body. Self trust is learned here. Can you choose your own healing path, even if it looks different than expected?
Chiron’s supportive connection with the Moon reminds us that curiosity is medicine. Healing does not have to be heavy. Sometimes it begins with wonder. With asking new questions. With being open to possibilities you have never explored before.
Neptune and Uranus are also in supportive conversation. Sudden insights are possible. Breakthroughs can arrive quickly. Life can change in ways you once believed were out of reach.
Which brings me back to the passion flower.
It does not bloom casually. It opens when conditions are right. Intricate. Precise. Intelligent.
This bloom feels like a message for the year ahead.
You do not need to force what is ready.
You do not need to rush your becoming.
Release what no longer supports your body or your truth.
Devote yourself to what brings calm, vitality, and aliveness.
Trust the intelligence moving through you.
This year does not begin with noise.
It begins with an opening.
And what opens now opens with purpose.
