Yay, yay yay… it’s true! Look for the blessings and you will find it. It’s in the storms that we become strong, resilient and empathetic towards others. When we are struggling we realize that we are not alone. Think of a life storm that you went through and what were the blessings? There is always something positive that comes from them. God has a purpose for your pain. There is a message in your mess. Whatever you are going through keep going!
Sometimes it is hard to see the blessings but they are there. Psalm 23:4-6
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”

Read this again! If you believe this what would you do and say? How would you act? There is a spiritual realm and many think it is far away or that it has nothing to do with our world but they are wrong. Being your best self is what God wants from all of us. If you lived like someone was watching… how different would that be?? Integrity is doing what is right even when no one is watching but God is always watching. Do what is right even when it’s not easy. To do this you need HIS help because it’s not always easy to humble ourselves and love the grumpy or unkind person but it’s probably the right thing to do. May others see Jesus in you not because you want attention but because you are living with integrity.

This can be the hardest when you don’t feel like it, grieving or struggling with depression. If life is tough or really sucking but It’s probably exactly what you need to do. I dare you to try it! You may struggle but just pick out one of your favourite worship songs and play it and push yourself to sing. It will get you out of your pity party and maybe put a smile on your face. Sometimes we think we know what’s best for ourselves but we are not always right or correct. Try something out of your comfort zone. If this fits try it! If it doesn’t put a smile on your face I’m sure it will Gods! You can do hard things!

Every day matters! What are you weaving into you day? What will you remember for? Is it your humour, kindness or wisdom? Whatever it is, it’s important because it’s part of you. Memories matter and a smile gets us through some really hard days. Thrive today don’t just survive. You got what it takes to be who you are created for…. Your purpose. It does not need to be big. Sometimes the smallest things mean the most to us. Be you!

Yes! Listening well is a gift we give to others. We are not listening to reply but to truly understand. Today try to listen well to your sphere of influence. The more you learn to be silent the more you learn. Listening is something that builds trust and relationships.

Do you have empathy for others? Be kind because you never know what someone is going through. Believe they are doing the best they can. Suffering and pain either make you a healthier human or a bitter human. You choose! Some the most amazing people have such hard lives. Be an inspiration and not a victim. You may be a gift to someone that needs your empathy and kindness.
