Today, we honour the children who never made it home, the survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities who continue to carry this pain.
At Bay Psychology, we believe in listening with compassion, learning with humility, and supporting healing. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a reminder that every child matters and that each of us has a role in creating a kinder, more inclusive future.
Every Child Matters.

Attention Ontario!
Big changes to how psychologists are trained and certified are being proposed and voted on Sept. 26, 2025 (today!) The College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) may cut training, reduce supervised experience, and remove exams — all to make it faster to become a psychologist.
Why it matters: Less training = less experience = potential risk to public safety. Mental health care deserves well-trained professionals.
Speak up! Public consultation opens after the vote. Your voice can help protect high standards in psychology.

Children learn emotional regulation by watching us. The way we handle frustration, anger, or uncertainty becomes their map. Too often, we parent on autopilot reacting from patterns we grew up with rather than ones we’ve intentionally chosen.
The good news? It is never too late! Awareness lets us break cycles and model healthier ways of managing emotions.
We are here to help, through therapy, parent coaching, or Circle of Security Parenting.

Here's your permission to put down your camera.
You don’t have to document every magical moment, some are meant to be lived, not posted.
So take a breath and simply be here. Let the memory live in your body, not just your camera roll.
