Wintering

Allowing rest to consume you, no where to be, nothing to do.
Fighting the urge to “do”, to be “productive”.
Allowing the ache in your heart to just be present.
No fixing, no running, no distracting.
Just accepting and allowing the pain to hurt.

Watching the ebb and flow of the breath, feeling the sun upon the skin that is exposed to the elements and the ice cold air that is fillIng your lungs.
And allowing the tension that encapsulates your heart to lessen with each coming exhale.
Let there be silence, for so much is said within the that vacant space.
No one ever said it would be comfortable.
Wintering

✨ Truth and Reconciliation: Honoring Indigenous Midwifery and Birthwork ✨

In our collective journey towards truth and reconciliation, let's pause and celebrate the enduring strength and profound knowledge of Indigenous midwifery and birthwork. 🤱

🌿 Honor our Ancestors: honour & listen to the generations of Indigenous midwives and birthworkers who have safeguarded traditions and nurtured communities through the ages.

🤝 Bridge the Gap: Seek to understand and appreciate the cultural significance of Indigenous midwifery. It's an opportunity to bridge gaps, foster respect, and build connections.

🌍 Share the Stories: Amplify the stories and experiences of Indigenous midwives and birthworkers. Their voices are essential in preserving and revitalizing these crucial practices.

💞 Support Access: Advocate for equal access to quality maternal and infant care, incorporating Indigenous wisdom into mainstream healthcare systems.

🌟 Donate: Support local initiatives aimed at improving perinatal health. Every donation brings us one step closer to healthier, happier beginnings.

🌱 Healing Together: Recognize that truth and reconciliation involve healing—both for individuals and communities. Indigenous midwifery is a beacon of hope on this journey by supporting the next generation of community members.

Let's move forward with empathy, respect, and a commitment to learning. By embracing the wisdom of Indigenous midwifery and birthwork, we take meaningful steps towards a brighter, more inclusive future. 🌏🤗

Soon all this hair will be gone and going to

But first I need your help to fundraise $5,000 for Wigs 4 Kids!

If you can spare $20 and get a friend to spare $20 then it should only take me 250 $20 donations to make my fundraising goal of $5000.
Plus my birthday is coming up so there’s a little extra insensitive to help me help the kids out. 😊

If you don’t have any funds to spare then please consider sharing this post and help me get the word out there. 🙏🏽❤️

See the link below or in my bio to donate!

Wigs for Kids BC (W4K BC) helps kids living with cancer, live better.

A proudly volunteer-run organization, W4K BC provides funding to cover the cost of custom-made human-hair wigs for children and teens at BC Children's Hospital who have suffered hair loss due to cancer treatment or other serious illnesses. Donations to W4K BC also help families pay for medications and feeding supplies that are essential for treatment but not covered by their medical plan.

When a child has a serious illness it takes an enormous toll on the entire family–both emotionally and financially. The assistance W4K BC provides makes the family's burden a little lighter so they can focus more of their time and energy on caring for their sick child.

By contributing to W4K BC, you are making a tremendous difference in the lives of children living with cancer - and their families - across the province. Thank you for your support.

Hello friends, family and whom ever else comes across this.

My good friends son, Rya was in an drowning accident earlier this Summer and the family has worked tirelessly towards his recovery.

They have had to pay for private flights, hospital care and nurses to get him into a treatment program in the USA that has been proven to work wonders for drowning victims, they paid for all of this out of pocket and are now in need of our help to get back on their feet. If there is any service, product that you are able to provide please reach out to me or Natalie directly. Every little bit helps, if you don’t have a something to donate or funds then please consider sharing this story so we can get it out there.

Words from Natalie Sarah Hope

“We are in the process of planning and organizing a fundraising Gala for Ryas recovery treatments and we are looking for people to donate services or products they may offer to be put in a raffle for our event. The event will likely be in October so the service or product would be needed around then. If you think you may have a service or product to offer and would like to contribute to Ryas recovery journey in a tangible way please let us know. Your prayers and thoughts are so appreciated either way.

God Bless you,

Warmly,

Natalie”
