Hi 👋🏼 it’s me again!

It’s about time I announced the completion of my PN nutrition level 1 coach certification! (I completed it earlier this year, in January🤭)

For those who are new here, I help educate individuals like yourself about nutrition, macro balance, energy expenditure and stress management.

My goal is to help equip you with the tools you need to make appropriate nutrition and lifestyle decisions to lead a healthy and fruitful life (without the need to fall back on yo-yo diets)💛

A bit about myself:
- I’ve been an athlete my whole life, from soccer to diving to volleyball and figure skating!
- Now I consider myself a hybrid athlete focusing on crossfit and weightlifting but I also love cycling, hiking, swimming and soccer
- I don’t follow any specific or restrictive diet but I have a plant-forward mindset in the kitchen
- I do not eat fish or seafood due to my career as a marine mammal trainer 🦦🐠

Mental Health Week 🧠💕

A few months ago, I decided to speak up at work.

I knew we could do more to support our staff, and I had a list of ideas.

But the imposter syndrome and fear made me hesitate and delayed the conversation.

Today I hosted day 1 of our first Mental Health week at work.

I have a team of 10 amazing individuals helping me make my vision a reality.

And I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished in a relatively short time with many hurdles.

Today, I’m proud I spoke up.

Recharge day 🌿 pre-comp day

Took the day off before my weightlifting comp to recover and recharge.

Here’s what that meant for me:

✅ read my book with my coffee
✅ tidying up the apartment
✅ nature walk and river exploring
✅ yoga session
✅ chill dinner and evening with babe

Recharging your battery can mean something different to everyone!

MH/Coaching update ✨

It’s been a while since I’ve done an update! So here you go ⬇️

✨I’m excited to announce that I’m bringing my mental health and coaching knowledge to my workplace and started a MH committee at the aquarium!

This means I’ve slowed down my personal coaching business. But with that said, I still have a few clients and may be opening more spots in the fall,🚨 so if you’ve been waiting or wanting to work with me, keep your eyes peeled for that announcement!

✨This summer has been extremely busy with so many fun and new opportunities that I’m very grateful to be a part of. But I’m excited for things to calm down a bit to be able to fully focus on these new roles!

✈️ Practicing what I preach, I will be on vacation for the next two weeks to recoup and recharge and be able to show up as my best self in the fall!!

Who doesn’t love a good PASTA dish!? 🤩

Pasta is one of our staple meals we make weekly.

Carbs ~ pasta (A must!) + Chunky veggies
Protein ~ TVP + a can of Lentils
Fats ~ Vegan Parm

Instead of constantly fighting over removing “bad food” from your diet..
👉🏼Play this game ~what can I add to make this better?~

Being French and from Eastern Canada, I LOVE my poutines! 🍟

It will always be part of my diet, regardless of how many calories it has.

👉🏼 So when the cravings come in, I play the game, how can I add more nutrients to this meal?

🙌🏼 My solutions - Add veggies, add protein and homemade mushroom gravy!

Does it make perfect macros? No.
Does it make better macros? Absolutely!

Tips for ✨consistency✨ in the gym!

🥀Motivation will only bring you so far.
🌹Consistency and dedication towards your goal will create habits!

Here are a few tips and tricks to staying consistent with your training 👇🏼
1. Know your why ~ Why do you want to train.. to improve your health to live longer, to be able to keep up with your kids, to be able to explore and travel? Having your specific “why” is very important. Especially on those days where motivation is low.

2. Get friends involved or get a coach ~ this is a great way to keep you accountable.

3. Invest in proper gear ~ Fitness clothes you enjoy wearing, comfy and appropriate shoes for your sport, water bottle and gym bag you like, etc. Enjoying your gear will make you want to use them!

4. Create a plan/schedule ~ Having a clear outline of what days you’ll be training is an easier way to create that habit and stick to a routine.

5. Start small ~ Baby steps will be more sustainable than trying to tackle a big change. Start with 1-2 days of training and maybe extra movement outside the gym and work up from there!

💛And remember, if you “fall off” one day, don’t panic. You haven’t lost any of your progress. The next day is a new day, simply try again and keep pushing forward!

This provincial did mark the end of my weightlifting season until the fall.

So what’s next‼️
Back to Crossfit and pushing to qualify for CanWest!

👉🏼Currently doing the open for my 6th year (yay!)

✨But I’m beyond excited to show off all the hard work we’ve been putting into my gymnastics and be able to combine it with my weightlifting!

Why is change so hard? 😳

We naturally have some resistance to change, why?

👉🏼Change can threaten our sense of safety and security.
👉🏼It takes us out of our routine and comfort zone.
👉🏼It forces us to confront things we’d rather not.
👉🏼It can also force us to build new skills or try new things.

‼️But change often leads to new growth, opportunity and happiness.

Embrace the nerves and be willing to change! ✨

Tofu veggie rice bowl 🍲🤤

Have you guys picked up on how I consistently create my meals yet? 😅

1. Protein - Marinated pan-fried tofu
2. Veggies - Pan-fried mixed veggies (Onions, Mushroom, Baby corn, Broccoli)
3. Carbs - White rice
4. Fats - 1/2 a can of coconut milk in my rice, olive oil for pan-fried veggies and tofu, and some toasted sesame oil in the tofu marinade

Better than take-out 🥡 Promise!
