Ready to run, together but apart? Join us for one of our favourite back to school traditions, the ‘Back to Cap 5K Run/Walk’ on Saturday, Sept 19th.
How to join?
Using the run-tracking app Strava, students & employees can sign up and join our CapU Virtual run club. W/ your Strava account, you can record your 5 km run or 3 km walk outside or inside, any time throughout the day on September 19th. The app will automatically track your route and log your entry when you record your run/walk.
To be eligible to win a Fitbit Inspire HR, you must:
1. Join the CapU Virtual Run Club on Strava
2. Record a 5km run or 3km walk on Saturday, Sept 19th
3. You must name your run/walk “Back to Cap 5K”
4. Post at least one photo of one of your run/walk on Strava
5. Be a CapU student or employee
Did someone say Fitbit?
For those who meet the above criteria, we'll be awarding a prize pack (including a Fitbit Inspire HR and some CapU swag) for:
• the participant who posts the "most scenic photo" of their run;
• the participant who’s run gains the “most elevation”; and
• the participant who wears the "most creative outfit" that day.
After you finish recording your run, the Strava app will automatically log your work-out in the club page & give you the option to post photos and name your activity. Bonus points will be awarded for those who share photos on social media, tagging and using the hashtag . Winners will be chosen by Athletics & Rec staff and HKin faculty.
