Motherhood Is a Practice, Not Perfection.

Motherhood, it turns out, has more in common with climbing than we might think.

Today I listened to a podcast episode of Diary of a CEO with Alex Honnold.

Some of you may know him—he’s a world-famous climber. He didn’t become the best overnight. What struck me most was his focus. For years he practiced climbing five days a week. Yes, he loves it, but love alone isn’t enough to become great at something. What really makes the difference is consistent practice.

It made me think about motherhood.

Even when you deeply love your baby, the transition into motherhood isn’t always easy. Confidence doesn’t appear overnight—it grows through everyday experience, one day at a time.

Yes, I just compared climbing to motherhood… and honestly, I think it’s a pretty accurate comparison.

Shoutout to all the new moms out there. 💛(FYI: the transition to motherhood can take up to about four years.)

Any other moms here who feel like confidence in motherhood comes with practice?

The Memo You (Probably) Didn’t Get as a First-Time Mom: You Were Never Meant to Feel Fully Ready

Imagine this… or better yet, don’t — you’re living it.
You’re a first-time mother.
You had expectations shaped by social media pictures and perfect stories.

You were expecting a baby, unsure what to feel. Afraid to even think about it. Pretending nothing was really happening — like nothing was about to change.

As the end of your pregnancy approached, you signed up for prenatal classes. They felt pointless… but you were scared you might miss something important if you didn’t go. So you attended every session.

It cost you time. Energy. Money.
And still, you didn’t feel prepared.

Because the truth is — no class can fully prepare you for something you’ve never experienced.

You wanted to be ready.
But you weren’t.

And that’s actually okay.
You can’t be fully ready for motherhood. You learn it by living it.

Whether you feel ready or not — you are walking the journey right now. And you are doing better than you think.

But here’s what matters:
You don’t have to do it alone.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure, exhausted, or just need someone who truly listens — I am here for you.

I support mothers through the real, unfiltered journey of motherhood — the doubts, the guilt, the identity shifts, and the silent questions no one talks about.

Reach out to me.
Let’s talk.

Hey Mama,
I know it feels hard,
impossible sometimes, BUT it will get better. I promise. Besides, you can do hard things.
