Do you sit a lot? Not only do I spend a lot of time sitting at my desk (or, worse, with my laptop on the couch), but I tend to gravitate toward seated sports (canoeing, horseback riding, cycling). My upper back and hip flexors have really been feeling the amount of paddling and riding I've been doing lately, between bouts on my laptop. For the last week or so, I've been doing this little series every day, and I thought I'd share it with you in case you feel strain in your hips and/or shoulders from sitting...or paddling...or riding, and might appreciate a very short practice to help bring a bit of release to these areas.
What is self care? It may be more simple and profound than you think!
