Embryology establishes the structural continuity of the body.

From this continuity arises:
1. Fascial networks
2. Visceral suspensory systems
3. Musculoskeletal mechanics

These systems converge in the pelvis, where connective tissues, viscera, and skeletal structures interact to influence motion along the pelvic axes.

Thus pelvic dysfunction can arise from:
• musculoskeletal restrictions
• fascial tension patterns
• visceral mobility limitations
• developmental structural relationships

Understanding the embryologic origins of these tissues helps clinicians appreciate why pelvic biomechanics must be evaluated systemically rather than locally.

Not all physiotherapy is the same. 👋

While many clinics rely on machines and passive treatments, our team believes in hands-on care that actually fixes the problem.

Manual therapy takes skill, experience, and effort — and our physiotherapists are committed to putting in that work for every patient who walks through our doors.

At The Sports Clinic we treat everything from sports injuries to everyday pain, including:
• Concussion management
• Osteopathic treatment
• Fascial therapy
• Pelvic floor physiotherapy
• Motor vehicle accident recovery
• Rehab & performance care
• Headaches, neck pain & back pain
• And just about every sports injury under the sun

Our goal is simple: help you move better, feel better, and get back to doing what you love.

Your pelvic health matters 💛

Leaking with exercise or coughing?
Pelvic heaviness or prolapse?
Pain with s*x?
Persistent low back or hip pain?

Pelvic floor physiotherapy can help.

We treat urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, and chronic low back/hip pain using a wholistic approach.

That means looking beyond the pelvic floor — assessing and treating the SI joint, lumbar spine, hips, core, and surrounding soft tissues, not just internally (when indicated).

Because your body works as a system — and your treatment should too.

You don’t have to live with it. Relief is possible.

Book your assessment today.

✨Strong moms, real moments ✨
Between school drop-offs, work, meals, and everything in between, finding time for you isn’t always easy. And that’s okay.
Movement doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing. It can be a short workout, a few stretches, or simply showing up when you can. Every bit counts.
These moms aren’t “doing it all” — they’re just choosing to care for themselves in ways that fit into their lives. And you deserve that too.
If today is the day you move your body, amazing.
If today is a rest day, that’s part of the plan too.
We’re here to support you, wherever you’re starting from 💪 ❤️

30 minute physiotherapy session for post operative total knee replacement with

Have you considered manual therapy after your joint replacement? In addition to surgeon prescribed exercises, manual therapy can help further improve joint and soft tissue mobility as well as improve overall pelvic alignment. We address the whole body and not just your operative joint, because the rest of your body likely has taken on the load before and after surgery. Everything is connected! We gained more than 10 degrees of knee flexion (measured with a goniometer - hard to see in this video) after working on this patient’s quads, adductors, hamstrings, IT band, calf, gluteal muscles, etc. More functional and advanced exercises will be added as range of motion improves.

Having upcoming surgery? Call one of our clinics to find out how we can help you pre-and post-operatively!
