Years ago, I chose this tattoo to carry an old Arabic phrase that has lived in my family for generations — a mother’s promise, a prayer, a reminder of gratitude.
Today, it means even more.
It holds the blessings God gave me… my sons, Jack and Daniel. Their presence, their love, their health, their being.
I look at this ink and I’m reminded of every moment God carried us, guided us, protected us. And I’m reminded of the men my boys have become — strong in morals, compassionate in heart, and kind in spirit.
This tattoo was once a symbol.
Now it’s a story.
A journey.
A blessing.
A mother’s gratitude.
“طول ما أنا عايشة… رح أضل شايلك على كتافي. الله يحميك.”
As long as I live, I will carry you on my shoulders. May God always protect you.
الحمدلله دائماً وأبداً
Alhamdulillah, always and forever.
