Weather Update ❄️

As of 11:00 AM today, Mount Etna Child & Family Services is closed.

While we closely follow our regional school board guidelines, we are making the decision to close early today in order to prioritize the safety of our clients, families, and staff as winter weather conditions continue to change.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Please stay safe and warm. Any program-specific updates or pivots (including possible makeup sessions) will be communicated via email and voice broadcast.

❄️ Weather Reminder for Families ❄️

As a reminder, Mount Etna Child & Family Services follows the local school board schedule during inclement weather.

✔️ Buses running = We’re OPEN
❌ Schools closed = We’re CLOSED

If a closure occurs, families will be notified early in the morning.

🌨️ Session Flexibility
Depending on weather conditions, some community-based sessions may be able to pivot to in-home sessions for children who are normally transported by school bus. Please email us early if this applies to your child so we can plan accordingly.

Our phone lines are temporarily down while we upgrade our systems. Email is the best way to contact us, especially on weather-related mornings. Please remember to CC your clinician.

🌋 Mount Etna 2025 — Wrapped 🌋

In 2025, we served 186 families, delivered over 9,000 visits, grew to 3 clinics with 19 staff, launched a foundation, and somehow… moved around a bit a couple of times😅

A lot of late nights, and zero moments where we compromised our ethics, care, or commitment to children and families.

Through every transition, 99% of our families stayed — and that tells us everything.

Thank you to our families, clinicians, students, and community for climbing this mountain with us.

Same heart. Bigger impact.

Mount Etna Child & Family Services is now accepting new registrations for 1:1 and group ABA therapy programs across our clinics in Oshawa, Bowmanville, and Scarborough.

✨ Programs include:
• 1:1 ABA Therapy
• Social & Group ABA Programs
• Art & Music-based Therapy Groups
• Academic & School Readiness Support
• Cooking, Life Skills & STEM Groups

Our programs are designed to support children across all areas of the autism spectrum, using evidence-based ABA delivered in a warm, play-based, and child-centred environment.
