Career Heather has been working at Oshawa South Chiropractic Clinic alongside Dr. Larry Down D.C. and Dr. Geoff Smith D.C. since 2007 and prides herself in providing a high quality of care for her clients. She applies her knowledge of orthopedic assessment and swedish massage with advanced therapeutic techniques including Trigger Point Therapy, Frictions, Myo-Fascial Release, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Soft Tissue Release (STR), and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. In 2013, Heather became certified to provide Acupuncture and Modern Cupping techniques within her massage therapy treatments. Techniques are applied to facilitate an improvement in the function, tone, and mobility of the soft tissues of the body and to decrease overall pain. Recently Heather completed her certification in Post Partum Massage Therapy. This course has sparked Heather’s interest in Womens health issues including pelvic floor dysfunctions and how massage therapy can prove beneficial as an adjunct to assessment and care from a specialized pelvic health physiotherapist.

Heather believes in empowering her clients with recommendations for strengthening, stretching and hydrotherapy, as well as by educating them on muscular imbalances and increasing their postural awareness.
