ars. After seeing specialists (and doing lots of testing!) I was told that I had IBS and there wasn't much I could do about it. I was so upset and I couldn't accept that response. I needed someone to tell me what to do to fix it, I couldn't feel that way for the rest of my life...

As a last resort, I made extreme changes to my diet. It was tough since I had no idea what I was doing and I was a very fussy eater. But, it worked! I totally changed my health and my life. I felt great, even after meals (which was unheard of before)! My skin was clearer and brighter and I had so much energy! I even got rid of joint pain I thought was normal. My experience inspired me to go back to school and see what else I could learn about the power of nutrition. Since then I have learned that changes don't need to be extreme to be lasting, and often it's the smallest changes that lead to the biggest results. My passion has become teaching others how to improve their health and their lives with simple changes that are sustainable and enjoyable. Food is meant to be enjoyed. We are meant to feel good. Remember being a kid with so much energy and hope for life? Let me help you get back there.

I'm a bit obsessed with leafy greens lately. I've been adding them to every meal and I feel so much better after just one week!

I was diagnosed with IBS years ago. They said there was nothing I could do, I had to just live with it. I took that as a challenge. And I won.

Nobody knows our bodies better than we do. Don't give up on your body, listen to it and make changes based on what YOUR body tells you. Not what the media says, not what worked for your friend. Your body is individual.

My body LOVES leafy greens and sweet potatoes, so I'm trying to include those foods as often as I can.

Sometimes it's not about cutting foods out, but instead adding foods in. Leafy greens can be added to almost any meal. They provide so many nutrients with almost zero extra calories.

Simple nutrition tip: Add your favourite vegetables on top of any meal!

This is a tasty, somewhat healthy (but delicious!) stir fry. I threw some microgreens and leafy greens on top, and added some cucumber slices to my plate. It's a great way to add extra vegetables without much effort!
