What's Your Spiritual New Year's Resolution (Free Event)
January 11, 2026 - From 2pm to 4pm
2419 Fannin Street, Houston, TX 77002
I wanted to share with you all my personal reflection in the difference between a New Year Resolution vs Intention:
As we stand at the threshold of 2026, I invite you to pause before reaching for another list of resolutions.
Resolutions often arise from the yang/ masculine “doing” principle — effort, discipline, force, willpower. They ask us to become someone else, to fix what we believe is broken. And when life inevitably moves differently than our plans, those rigid expectations can quietly turn into self-judgment. We didn’t fail — the framework was never designed to honor our humanity.
Intentions are different…
Intentions arise from the yin/feminine principle of being — receptive, expansive, relational, alive. Rather than commanding the future, intentions listen to it. They align us with growth instead of pressure, with curiosity instead of control. An intention doesn’t demand perfection; it invites presence.
Consider a different perspective…there is nothing to improve and nowhere else to arrive. You are not separate from the path you are walking. Intentions simply further clarify the direction consciousness wishes to explore through you. They become an inner GPS — not to force the route, but to gently re-orient you when you drift…. this often comes from the subtle urging from the heart versus the scolding voice of the ego.
Our soul mission becomes more apparent through remembrance rather than self-correction — remembering wholeness, remembering truth, remembering that growth unfolds naturally when supported by awareness, community, and grace.
So instead of asking:
👉 What must I fix in 2026?
Try asking:
👉 What wants to emerge through me?
👉 What qualities am I ready to embody?
👉 How do I want to feel as I move through this year?
Setting intentions is not passive — it is profoundly powerful. It is choosing alignment over effort, coherence over control, trust over force.
Before the year begins, take time to set your GPS for 2026 — not as a rigid destination, but as a living orientation toward expansion, compassion, and truth.
The path is already under your feet….All that’s left is to put one foot in front of the other and walk it consciously and feel the calming resonance when you are in synch with your heart❤️
