Moxi Magic ✨

Been too busy for Friday posts this month! So here’s a twist…

Think you have no time for a Moxi? I did my treatment on Monday after work, and today looking pretty much “normal”. Tinted sunscreen covers any residual redness the day after, and I didn’t have to miss a beat during this very busy final clinic week of 2024!

My very first Moxi done in 2022 was a game changer for my melasma, and I continue with twice yearly maintenance now. Along with skincare and Zinc sunscreen daily I am finally beating my melasma!

Geoff is living proof that you can take control of hyperhidrosis. So many men and women suffer from uncontrollable and excessive sweating. This can be very disruptive and affects quality of life, both physically and psychologically. Soaking through suits and shirts is distressing, and often impedes both social and professional confidence. Some patients want help for managing hyperhidrosis of the head, scalp or hands. While sweating can be a symptom of another medical condition, or a side effect of a drug, hyperhidrosis can be idiopathic (no known cause) and often triggered spontaneously.
If topical OTC options are ineffective, and you have failed or are not a good candidate for the prescription topical and/or oral medications for hyperhidrosis, Botox Medical injections might be right for you.

Botox has been FDA approved for treatment of hyperhidrosis since 2004. Most patients get several months of relief after Botox injections, the treatments are quick and well tolerated, and most insurance plans cover the drug cost (and some plans cover the entire procedure). The procedural fee for this treatment is $250, and most patients get at least 3+ months longevity after each treatment. Some of our patients only need it done twice a year. That means DRY. No use of antiperspirant at all during that time.

Osteoarthritis, torn meniscus x3, getting older. Top 3 reasons why I have been receiving PRP injections to my knees.

Dr. Dave Simon is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in regenerative medicine, was the first to teach me about platelet rich plasma, stem cell therapy. I told him 8 years ago, I need to be able to ski and surf with Ben. Hair loss. There are many factors that affect hair thinning or hair loss, my personal journey is about perimenopause and how the decline in Estradiol has led to me losing SO much hair in the past year.

Sorry for the gross shower drain hair picture, but this is my daily routine.

Solution: I am a total lazy homecare person so Rogaine is not something I would try. And while I am as vain as the next person I will never take a systemic pill for hairloss specifically.

Fortunately PRP has been a helpful non-drug alternative, and now I am going to do some DP4 Dermapen microneedle and EXOSOMES topical for my hair loss!! 🎉🥳
