🎴I really love my qigong doodles and collages - virtual or otherwise. Repetition of the movements helps commit them to memory, and drawing them down, sorting through my handmade card deck, and creating muscle memory through art reinforces my memory.

🎴It doesn't mean I don't forget! But it is another creative tool in my qigong practice kit.

🎴 It's nearly Breathe, Move, Make, February edition! Come do some gentle movement to shake off the day (and the cold) before settling into the meditative mark making of mandalas.

⚫ Vinyl record, paint and ideas/guide offered for everyone. All you'll need to bring is comfortable shoes for moving in, and your creativity.

🙏🏼$10 via e-transfer or using the link in my bio! Community pricing for creative community care.

🐕The amount of time it took me to take the spinning vinyl completely negated the sweep I did to manage the dog hair.

🌀 Let's Labyrinth!

🌀 Exploring mandalas, what fits in a circle, and being extremely satisfied with the little goldfish.

🌀 It's a little cold, and this finger labyrinth is not at all reflective of what I see out my window. I am now plotting with the nearby park to make something meditative and walkable during the winter.

🌀 In February at , we'll paint mandalas on vinyl records. Let your imagination fly! What would you paint in a circle?

What does "Community Centred Pricing" mean?

🌈🌈🌈⚡⚡⚡🫂🫂🫂

I have always believed in community-centred funding models for services, personal supports, and systems of care. Reciprocity where who you are, and that you are present matters more than money. Where momentum isn’t monetary, and movement happens with community.

I am deeply rooted in the idea that diverse humans should have access to creative community spaces, and to a personal practice when they need them, not just when they can ‘afford’ full price.

I have immense gratitude for systems of community care that recognize and celebrate relationships as a fundamental component of choice and growth. Many are Indigenous, many are q***r, all are radical.

🎴 Breathe, Move, Make is a workshop where you can slow down, reconnect, and create from a calm place. We begin with a few steady breaths that help you arrive in the moment. Then we move into soft qigong movements that loosen tension and wake up your energy, and get you centred.

🎨 We’ll then shift into a creative activity. It might be a collage, a mandala on an old record, or a small charm you can tuck into your pocket. There’s no pressure to “be artistic”—just space to explore, play with materials, and let your ideas take shape.

✨ By the end, you leave feeling lighter and more centered, holding something you made that reflects a part of your inner self.
