REAL Program

REAL Program Create and sustain supportive environments for children and youth through programs and activities with a mental and physical health base at Oyen Public

The REAL project’s mission is to create and sustain supportive environments for children and youth through programs and activities with a mental and physical health base. On a day to day basis we provide support within the school setting from kindergarten to Grade 12. Our goal is to give students and their parents the tools and skills to achieve resilience and experience academic, personal and social success. Mental health problems often emerge in childhood or early adolescence and can increase the risk of persons developing depression, negative behavior and/or substance abuse issues. Our project focuses on early intervention, promotion of positive thoughts and behaviors, and the proactive planning to create the awareness and empower students with the ability to grow and make positive choices that benefit their physical and mental well- being. Oyen FCSS is a key partner of the REAL project. Through collaboration we are working together to strengthen students, families and our community with the common goals and ideas to create RESILIENT, EMPOWERED individuals who strive for, create and achieve positive ATTITUDES for LIFE.
