🚑 Meet François Moreau, Kuujjuaq’s First Responder nominee who has served for 4 years! ⭐️
Originally from Québec City, François has always been driven by one purpose: helping others. His studies in Police Technology and Nursing strengthened that calling and eventually led him north, where he could make a real difference. “I became a first responder to help people in the moments when they need it the most and to do my part in supporting the community.”
For François, the most meaningful part of his role is working within a multidisciplinary team committed to the well-being of Nunavimmiut. Every intervention, every person he meets, reminds him why this work matters.
His message for young Nunavimmiut is filled with admiration and hope: “I hope future generations continue stepping forward as leaders. Carry your strength, resilience, and cultural pride with you, and use it to inspire and support those around you.”

🚑 Voici François Moreau, un premier répondant de Kuujjuaq depuis déjà quatre ans!⭐️
Originaire de la ville de Québec, François a toujours été passionné par un objectif en particulier : aider les autres. Ses études en techniques policières et sciences infirmières ont renforcé son désir d’aider, et l’ont amené dans le Nord, un endroit qui lui a permis de faire une réelle différence. « J’ai voulu être premier répondant pour soutenir les personnes au moment où elles en ont le plus besoin et pour venir en aide à ma communauté.»
Pour François, l'aspect le plus enrichissant de son travail est de faire partie d'une équipe multidisciplinaire qui se consacre au bien-être des Nunavimmiut. Chaque intervention, chaque personne qu'il rencontre lui rappelle pourquoi ce travail est important.
Son message adressé aux jeunes du Nunavik déborde d’admiration et d’espoir : « J’espère que les individus des futures générations continueront de se poser à titre de meneurs. Faites preuve de force, de résilience, et soyez fiers de votre culture. Vous pourrez ainsi inspirer et appuyer les personnes qui vous entourent. »
👉 Son histoire fait partie de l’héritage des premiers répondants du Nunavik, brillant en service depuis 25 ans. 💙
