Wide away at 3am again?

Your probiotics might not be working.

….because your gut might be full of weeds.

You can’t plant grass seed in a lawn that’s overrun. There’s no space for it to grow.

Same with your gut.

If there’s overgrowth (yeast, unwanted bacteria, etc.), those expensive probiotics won’t take root.

You need to clear space first.

And don’t worry….that doesn’t mean another restrictive diet.

Low carb diets can cause → Physiological Insulin Resistance.

I see it regularly in my private practice.

You need to be aware of this before you start a low carb diet, especially if you’re a woman.

(I see it most often in women)

It’s fixable, but it requires a specific protocol to retrain your muscles to gobble up glucose and insulin. Until then, you’ll be getting huge blood sugar swings anytime you eat carbs, including high fibre whole food ones.

You’re doing all the things for your gut…

Removing food from your diet, like sugar or processed food seems like a reasonable NY resolution.

BUT, whenever you remove food, you need lots of willpower to jump over the hole it your diet that’s left.

So, instead, focus on adding first. Bring in my veggies or fruit, or any whole food. Let them squish out the foods you want to eat less of.

It’s SO MUCH easier and really effective :)

Does it feel like there’s food stuck in your throat?

This is called “Globus Sensation” and is a sign that your stomach isn’t happy.
