3mile has been a great beach where naturists can go, hang out, chat, swim and of course suntan n**e. From our research since the 1950’s. It is a place, traditionally known, where everyone is welcome. We ask that you have respect for everything and everyone on the beach and surrounding community, as there is respect from us. This beach, which has grown from the tennis courts/marina along the foreshore/crown land, offers a great variety of people, not just locals but tourists to the tune of 1000’s/ year. It has a treed area with many different species of birds and where other wild life thrive. We have seen 3 different species of hummingbirds nesting and feeding in the trees, along with swans, bald eagles nesting in the cliffs, blue tailed skinks (Plestiodon skink) , bull snakes, oriels, king fishers, painted turtles and many other creatures. We have also found an Okanagan Constrictor (http://www.okanaganwildlifephotography.com/files/reptiles/reptiles_snake_coluberconstrictor.html)(http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/okanagan/esd/atlas/species/racer.html ), they are a very different snake. It was only 5” long
By the way parking is very limited, only 13 parking stalls, so please car pool, ride your bike or walk. The KVR trail runs past the beach and several winery's are great to stop in on your walking/biking journey through a beautiful pathway with great Okanagan scenery, so bring your camera.
