Monday, December 6th is the National Day for Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. Come by our table in the OC Foyer from 11:00 am -2:00 pm to honour the day. Join us to connect, contribute to our community art piece, or collect a candle to light in honour of women who have lost their lives.

We’re partnering with Student Accessibility Services for an upcoming event! Consent and Communication: a discussion on dating, boundaries and healthy relationships.

Tuesday December 6 from 2:30-3:30pm. In-person at Blackburn Hall room 135.

Hosted by the Social Association for Autistic Students (SAFAS), during their weekly drop-in group. No registration required, but the event is designated for students on the autism spectrum.

Sarah will provide a short introduction on consent culture and Consent at Trent’s services and then she’ll be answering questions and facilitating an informal discussion. There will be options to ask questions anonymously.

Join us on November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and Day 1 of the 16 Days of Activism. We will be joining Durham College and Ontario Tech University for a cross campus panel discussion on Intersectionality and Gender-based violence. This panel will discuss the need for intersectionality as a framework for addressing and preventing gender-based violence and how to meet the needs of survivors in our communities. See the link in our bio to register for the Zoom event.

The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign to promote strategies we can prevent and eliminate gender-based violence in our communities and around the world. The 16 days run from November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, until December 10th, Human Rights Day.

Follow along throughout the 16 days for more information and tangible ways you can take action to end gender-based violence and support survivors in our community.

April is sexual assault awareness month. The goal is to create public awareness of sexual assault and educate communities to create greater change. This years theme is 'building safe online spaces together'.

Sexual assault can happen anywhere, online spaces are being used more and more prevalently, it is important to work toward creating safety in all spaces.

This workshop is built specifically with allies in mind and is a great space to enhance the learning already received from Positive Space workshops.
