đź’ś Thank You!!! đź’ś
Yesterday’s Justice for Kiara event at the Canadian Brewhouse was truly powerful, and we want to take a moment to say the biggest thank you.
The event was a success because of all of you — those who came in person, those who joined us online from near and far, and those who sent gifts, messages, and support. Every bit of love you shared helped carry us through the day.
To our Member of Ziad Aboultaif Member of Parliament for Edmonton Manning — thank you for sponsoring Kiara’s bill and for speaking with such honesty and heart. You didn’t just speak as a politician; you spoke as a father who heard Kiara’s story and felt moved to act. Your words meant more than we can ever express.
A huge thank you to our incredible event planner, Amanda, who donated her time, energy, and heart to make this entire event possible. You handled everything so selflessly, and you created a space where people could come together in love, grief, hope, and determination.
To Thomas, who created Kiara’s song… there are no real words for what you gave us. This is a song our family will hold forever — something we will play at every event, something that will be passed down to our grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It is beautiful, meaningful, and unforgettable.
Thank you to Elise for the delicious cupcakes, Cheryl for selling tickets, and Susan for gathering signatures for our petitions and helping move this fight forward. A special thank you to Edie and Lily, who greeted everyone at the welcome table — your warmth set the tone for the entire event.
To everyone who joined us online — thank you for being there with us, for lighting candles from home, for sending your prayers, comments, and messages of support. And to those who sent gifts — your kindness, your thoughtfulness, and the love behind every gesture touched us so deeply. Those gifts will always remind us that Kiara’s story reached people far beyond the walls of the event.
And to my brother — thank you for being such a strong, steady voice for Kiara. She is so lucky to have you as her father. I know she is proud of your strength, proud of your courage, and proud of how fiercely you’ve fought to uncover the truth surrounding her murder. Your dedication is something the entire community sees and stands behind.
To everyone: thank you for believing in this Justice for Kiara movement.
Thank you for showing up — in person, online, and in spirit.
Thank you for fighting for Kiara.
We move forward together. Always.
