• Substitute or replacement drugs for addiction treatment (full agonist medications such as methadone, buprenorphine, or suboxone)
o Note: Partial agonist therapies are allowed in some circumstances with the aim of being weaned off support within 3 months of admittance.
• Benzodiazepines (e.g., diazepam, lorazepam) and other addictive sedatives.

Join Community Action Team - Port Alberni for a day of horsepower, healing, and community connection!

Horsepower for Healing 2 is back for its second year — a mental health and harm reduction focused car show that brings people together through a shared love of classic, custom, and performance vehicles.

Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Fall Fair Grounds, Port Alberni

Come check out an incredible lineup of vehicles while connecting with local services and community organizations working to support mental health, recovery, and wellness.

This family-friendly event is free to attend and open to everyone.

• No substitute drugs (e.g., methadone, Suboxone, buprenorphine, naltrexone) intended for opioid replacement therapy are allowed.
• All medication use must be medically necessary and prescribed by a licensed health care provider and approved by house management.
• Non-opioid pain relievers (e.g., acetaminophen, ibuprofen)
• Non-addictive psychiatric medications (e.g. certain antidepressants)
