Who are we?

A community for men seeking freedom from addiction. Headwaters Therapeutic Recovery Society is a nonprofit society organization that is rooted in Christian principles formed for the purpose of creating a community for local men seeking freedom from addiction. Our desire is to help men reclaim their lives, and we believe in the power of faith and community to bring about lasting recovery.

✝✝✝🌷 Headwaters Celebrating Easter

As a faith-based organization, our hearts are full as we celebrate Easter with you. It began as Passover; a beautiful journey from the old to the new, where God’s mercy and love gently cover our past as we step forward into fresh, hopeful beginnings.

Two thousand years ago, Jesus fulfilled Passover in the most loving way. He gave His life for every one of us so that anyone who believes in Him can pass from death to life and be brought together as one family.

This is the warm invitation we extend to each of you, our clients: we’re reaching out with the Lord’s hand, gently encouraging you to step out of those familiar comfort zones and into something new and life-giving.

Easter is Resurrection Sunday; the most joyful new beginning of all. We long for this for every one of you: to become a brand-new creation, leave the past behind, and step excitedly into the bright future that awaits.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, the Headwaters recovery home is coming together beautifully. From furniture to household essentials, every donation has helped transform this house into a warm, welcoming space for men stepping into a new season of sobriety and healing.
This isn’t just a house — it’s a place where lives will be rebuilt, faith will be strengthened, and hope will be restored.
We are so grateful to everyone who has given, shared, prayed, and supported this vision. Your kindness is helping create a safe, structured second-stage home right here in the Alberni Valley.
There’s still work to do, but today we celebrate how far we’ve come. 💛

Out here in the yard, it’s quiet right now — but not for long. Every day brings us closer to opening the doors and welcoming the first residents to the Headwaters recovery home.

This space is being prepared with intention. It will be a place of structure, accountability, brotherhood, and faith. A place where men who have already committed to sobriety can continue building strong foundations for long-term recovery.

There’s something powerful about standing on this property and imagining what’s ahead — conversations on the porch, shared meals, prayer, hard work, growth, and real transformation.

We’re not just getting a house ready.

We’re preparing for lives to change.
