Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Rebecca (she/her/they). I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor who offers counselling to women, men, non-binary folks, and adults of all gender identities, with a special passion for working with teens. I believe that counselling can be useful both as a reactive (crisis management) and proactive (growth focused) support in one’s life. In either scenario, I strive to provide all my clients with immediate relief from their current mental and emotional challenges, while at the same time, working to identify connections to their underlying feelings and beliefs. Thus, focusing on strategies related to deeper and more long-lasting change.
As a neurodiverse, 2SLGBTQIA+, woman of colour, living with complex health needs, my approach to counselling is firmly grounded in anti-oppressive, intersectional, and relational modalities. Some of which include, person-centered, existential, narrative, feminist and somatic based practices. This means I strive to listen to the stories my clients share, and in a collaborative manner, explore the connections between each of the various events in their life and how they manifest in the mind, body, and spirit. All in hopes of leading to deeper meaning making and subsequent healing.
