Bianca Church, RHN Nutritionist with 25 years of nutrition coaching and teaching experience.; Host of Learn, Eat, & Be Well- SW France; MSc. Clinical Nutrition Candidate.

In 1998 I began my journey in holistic health by working for a Master Herbalist in the Chilcotin Plateau of British Columbia. After moving back to Ontario in 2000, my home province, I continued in the holistic health industry by joining a nutritional supplement company that manufactured premium nutraceuticals for both humans and horses. By 2004 I decided to formalize my knowledge in nutrition by enrolling into the Natural Nutrition diploma program at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. By 2005 I was the recipient of CSNN’s graduating Award of Excellence and Award of Merit. The next year, 2006, I graduated from the International Institute of Iridology, where I completed my certification in Advanced Holistic Iridology and simultaneously completed my training as a Certified Healthy Breast Practitioner with Sat Dharam Kaur. I spent 12 years teaching and privately tutoring numerous CSNN students, coordinating and developing CSNN’s Natural Nutrition curriculum, CSNNs online platform, and “Learn, Eat, and Be Well” - SW France, an educational tourism program for nutrition graduates, and to date have mentored 135 CSNN graduates to develop their own successful holistic nutrition practices. Today I am focusing on a Master’s of Science in Clinical Nutrition at Aberdeen’s Rowatt Institute, I am helping clients in need of nutritional guidance, hosting an annual Learn, Eat & Be Well – SW France from my own home https://learneatbewell.com/ and still helping students with their case studies and/or developing their nutrition businesses through my business mentorship program ‘Wellness Business Systems’. I have a strong belief in the power of natural nutrition and my goal is to share my knowledge through education.

🩶𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲́, 𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲́, 𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘂𝗴𝗹𝗲 🐾

𝗢𝗻 𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮̀ 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗜𝗟 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝗲𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲́𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗿 : https://alvialavoixdesanim.wixsite.com/my-site/loki

Holistic Nutritionists were called fringe before “functional” was fashionable.
This is for the holistic nutritionists who built clinics, wrote protocols by hand, and taught people to listen to their own bodies before the rest of the world caught up. Read the full article here:

In the ’80s, ’90s, and early 2000s, holistic nutritionists, mainly CSNN graduates, were often dismissed or excluded from professional spaces. We worked without regulatory recognition, scientific validation, or public acceptance. But we showed up anyway. We built clinics, educated communities, an...

"Lead by Example" - SUPPORT LOCAL FARMERS
In my post, Holistic Nutritionist – Catalyst for Change, I talked about the third principle: Lead by Example.
So here I am again, doing just that. Helping my neighbour harvest lettuce, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes from his garden.
Leading by example is about living the values we teach — one small, consistent action at a time. (1 minute read) https://biancachurch.com/holistic-nutritionist-as-catalyst-for-change-part-3-lead-by-example/

I don’t eat snails or slugs.
I couldn’t hurt a fly.
So when these little guys show up on my kale, they get a gentle relocation — outside, in the shade.
I figure I don’t need the extra protein.

"Lead by Example" - I Eat Greens Daily

In my last post, Holistic Nutritionist – Catalyst for Change, I talked about the third principle: Lead by Example.

So here I am, doing just that. Harvesting kale from my own garden, stripping the spines, and storing it for my favourite kale, shallot, and Swiss chard sauté.

Leading by example doesn’t mean perfection; it’s about living the values we teach — one small, consistent action at a time.
(And yes, I really do eat greens every day. And, no, my kitchen was not staged. It was actually clean that day) https://biancachurch.com/holistic-nutritionist-as-catalyst-for-change-part-3-lead-by-example/

Leadership in holistic nutrition doesn’t come from titles, degrees, or letters after your name—it comes from integrity.
Holistic Nutritionist - Catalyst for change - "Lead by Example", part 3 of my 3 part series:

To lead others toward wellness, we must first live it ourselves. Leadership in holistic nutrition doesn’t come from titles, degrees, or letters after your name—it comes from integrity. It comes from walking your talk when no one is watching, from making choices rooted in alignment rather than ap...

Vitamin L (Love): The Invisible Nutrient of Longevity
In a world tracking every macro and micronutrient, let’s not forget the one that truly sustains us, the daily dose of connection, kindness, and love.
My academic roots are in Sociology from Canada’s McMaster University in the 90s, long before my 25 years in holistic and clinical nutrition. The foundation of seeing human health inseparable from social connection still influences how I interpret nutritional science today.
Dr. Elson Haas captured this beautifully in Staying Healthy with Nutrition, the first textbook I taught from in nutrition. He described love as a vital force that underpins healing and vitality, reminding us that "nutrition is more than what we eat it is how we live and love."
While nutrition science emphasizes biochemical pathways, I keep returning to the sociological question: What nourishes people beyond nutrients?
In the so called “Blue Zones”, I see credit given to omega-3s, antioxidants, and the Mediterranean diet for longevity but, coming from experience, these same populations also share strong social ties, intergenerational care, shared meals, and a deep sense of belonging.
Even the so-called French Paradox may hinge less on red-wine polyphenols or grass fed butter and more on the joyful embodiment of connection. Everyday, I see the way the French kiss each other on the cheeks, touch one another comfortably, and express affection without fear of offending. These daily gestures are biochemical in their own right. They have the potential to lower cortisol and strengthen the immune system through oxytocin and human contact.
Love, belonging, and purpose regulate stress hormones, buffer inflammation, and even modulate gene expression. In this sense, Vitamin L may not appear in serum, but its deficiency is epidemic.

Education is the heart of holistic nutrition consulting. It is what separates the practitioner who hands out meal plans from the professional who transforms lives. Nutritionist as catalyst for change - part 2 of my 3 part series:

Education is the heart of holistic nutrition. It is what separates the practitioner who hands out meal plans from the professional who transforms lives. When we teach, we empower our clients to become active participants in their own healing. We move them from dependency to self-responsibility. The....

This is Learn, Eat, & Be Well - SW France.
Early morning by the river, with the sound of church bells and the cornfields glowing in the sun. It’s that time of year when food is everywhere; apples, peaches, raspberries, blackberries, zucchinis, tomatoes, plums. Who needs to cook dinner when you can walk through the countryside and eat with the seasons?

This is Learn, Eat, Be Well - SW France
At Learn, Eat, & Be Well – SW France, wellness reveals itself in many forms. One of them is the field trip where we simply walk the ancient stone paths of the 900-year-old Abbey and Church at Saint-Amand-de-Coly. Tucked in a quiet valley of green forests and honey-coloured stone, this sacred site invites calm, reflection, and connection. The only sounds are birdsong and footsteps with echoes of those who have walked here for centuries in search of healing and renewal.
Come feel the stillness, breathe the history, and be well.

My Story

I am a deeply committed Holistic Nutritionist who has been in the holistic health industry since 1998. I started my career in holistic health as an assistant to a Master Herbalist. Then in the year 2000 I moved into Nutraceutical sales for the equine industry. In 2004 I chose to obtain a formal education in Natural Nutrition and in 2005 was the recipient of CSNN’s graduating Award of Excellence. I am also a graduate of the International Institute of Iridology Advanced Holistic Iridology, a Certified Healthy Breast Practitioner, and have over 5000 hours of teaching and curriculum development experience. In my role as Academic Advisor in Distance Education and through my experience in marking numerous tests, and case study analysis, I have identified key areas where students, graduates, and professionals could improve their chances of success and make more efficient use of their time. I have designed my programs to help students complete their studies quickly and effectively and to build a successful practice in less time than if they were to do this on their own.

“I am a deeply committed holistic health practitioner, who is very enthusiastic and dedicated to my students and clients. This comes from my strong belief in the power of natural nutrition. My goal is to empower my students through education while guiding them through their business development journey. This allows students to become successful in their holistic health practice so that they can hit the ground running after graduation or improve.”
