Our Spring session is just around the corner, and we’ve been hard at work getting everything (and everyone!) ready 🐴🌷

Meet one of our new additions, Al Capony, who’s been busy learning all about the fun side of the arena—games, props, and building confidence every step of the way! From curious sniff tests to brave first interactions, training new horses is all about creating positive, low-pressure experiences so they feel safe, steady, and ready to support our riders.

With a few new horses joining the herd this season, we’ve been taking extra time to ensure each one is set up for success through thoughtful, gradual training.

Behind the scenes, we’ve also been hosting volunteer training sessions to make sure our incredible team feels prepared and confident heading into the season. It truly takes a village, and we’re so grateful for ours 💛

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another amazing session filled with growth, connection, and plenty of smiles!

🐎 Instructor Mentoring Clinic Weekend

This past weekend we hosted a 3-day mentoring clinic to help prepare our instructors in training for their upcoming instructor certification exams.

We were honoured to welcome Tegwyn Harper, CanTRA examiner, competition coach, and rider biomechanics specialist, who spent three full days mentoring our team. Participants worked through exam preparation, teaching techniques, rider biomechanics, and practical coaching skills both in and out of the arena.

It was an incredibly valuable opportunity for our instructors in training to gain insight, ask questions, and refine their skills as they prepare for certification. The dedication and enthusiasm from everyone involved made for a fantastic weekend of learning and growth.

A huge thank you to Tegwyn for sharing her expertise and supporting the development of therapeutic riding instructors, and to our wonderful instructors, volunteers, and horses who made the weekend possible.

💛 PRTRA 2025 Season Recap 💛

What a year! In 2025 we took a big step forward by letting our horses live together in a herd for the first time and watching their friendships grow has been one of the highlights of our season. 🐴

We also welcomed new horses to the barn, launched an exciting vaulting program, hosted summer camps, and most importantly… cheered on our amazing riders as they achieved incredible milestones and personal wins.

Thank you to our riders, families, volunteers, and supporters for making this community so special. We are so proud of how far we’ve all come together. ✨
