Many of you may already know this, but in case it’s new news…
My summer at clinic in Toronto didn’t go quite as planned. On July 14, I was diagnosed with breast cancer — aggressive, but treatable.
Although I tried to manage things while still in Toronto, my care team advised that I begin with chemotherapy rather than surgery, and that I return home to start treatment. I’ll be beginning chemo within the next two weeks, followed by surgery, with the need for radiation to be assessed afterwards.
Because of this, my oncology team has recommended that I focus fully on my health. That means I’ll be closing the clinic for now.
