Inamojo with Lori - Prince Albert and Area

Inamojo with Lori - Prince Albert and Area Inamojo is a new wellbeing 9 week program for children of primary school age ( 5-11). Involves: Imagination, Creativity, Expression, Validation

Inamojo is a new wellbeing program for children of primary school age. Designed to address all aspects of a child's healthy developmental growth (physical, cognitive, emotional and social), the interactive program is composed of stories, movement, art, meditation, and specially composed music. Created by the team behind the world-renowned Chakradance™ for adults, Inamojo is based on the eastern integrative 'map' of the chakra system, together with Jungian psychology and a variety of contemporary Early Childhood Development theories. As part of the program, children will engage in mindful practices such as meditation, breath awareness, expressive movement and art and develop their trusting instincts, emotional expression, self-esteem, communication, intuition and imagination, and self-awareness. Each week will follow the same format (story > dance > art > discussion) and covers a different theme and learning experience:

Benefits of being read a Story
• Develops Communication skills
• Develops listening skills - attention spans increase
• Develops language and literacy skills
• More confident self-expression, both verbally and in writing
• Exploring emotions by connecting with characters

Benefits of Dance
• Balance, spatial awareness and co-ordination
• Builds self-confidence and self-esteem
• Builds muscle tone and strength
• Improves mental functioning
• Stimulates internal body systems, e.g. respiratory, digestive, endocrine
• Learn valuable tools for social interaction
• Embraces and nurtures self-expression and creativity

Benefits of Mandala Art
• Mandalas and Creative Art assist children to represent experiences they cannot verbalize
• Supports small and large muscle development
• Hand - eye co-ordination
• Fine motor control (also assists with writing)

Inamojo follows the same format each week (story > dance > art > discussion), and each class covers a different theme and learning experience. By using the same format, children become familiar with the class structure and can move further into their own experiences. The structure of our 9-week Inamojo programs:
