Ember of Hope has been traveling 🧳 here are just a few glimpses of our travels. We feel so blessed to do this work we love. In addition to the Healing Grief & Indigenous Trauma Informed Gatherings we also offer a one day gathering on the tools. Also, we like to keep in tune with one of our favourite leading experts, on mental wellness, Dr Gabor Mate. We travelled to Calgary to see him speak, we were amongst 10,700 people in attendance. This was his largest attendance at any talk and he travels the world to share his work.

Sooo checking in with our social media followers. For the first time, we are considering combining the Healing Grief and Indigenous Trauma Informed Gatherings together. This will be a 5 day gathering hosted in Prince George, with one day of tools for your tool box to help prepare for the grief and trauma informed content; two days of the Healing Grief recovery 3 step program and the final two days learning about how the brain is affected by trauma and how trauma affects our relationships from an indigenous lens.

The 5 day gathering would be hosted in Prince George BC, 9:30-4 pm daily, and other details to follow.

Last week, we seen beautiful miracles take place. Our team was supposed to be in southern BC and the session got postponed and the team was going to take a week off and we got a call from a community saying we have 5 community members who want to take the Healing Grief session, a few phone calls, and one mistaken phone call later the group filled up within two days. We know we are meant to be where we are and we were blessed to witness miracles take place with a group of willing and intentional people who wanted some relief and recovery from grief.

We are so proud of Audrey, as the captain of her hockey team she is doing great things and hockey is one of those great things! And Ember of Hope is so proud to see our logo on your jersey!

We extend our gratitude to Wet’suwet’en First Nations for the opportunity to collaborate with their men. We had a productive weekend exchanging ideas. Special thanks to Justin Young for his assistance. I look forward to future collaborations.

We are holding space for Tumbler Ridge. We are deeply heartbroken by the tragedy that has taken place and the deep pain it has caused throughout the community. In a town where everyone knows and cares for one another, a loss like this is felt by all of us.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, friends, and first responders affected. May we come together with compassion, strength, and support for one another as we begin to heal. 💔
