Another day has gone by of our annual girls camping trip and it’s home time today.

The dogs and horses are tired and we have put on 26km’s so far. The neighbouring cows are enjoying the company of the horses and the sunsets and sunrises are beautiful.

SD Glitz and Glamour and SD Tornado are EXPECTING for 2026!

This pairing always knocks it out of the park and this year I retained their filly!

They always create flashy, big, hairy cobs that are curious, kind and willing to learn.

I am so excited to see what they cook up for the 2026 year. GG is directly from the famous SD Izzy and the one and only SD Woolly Mammoth!

⭐️PRR Legacy’s Little Trooper⭐️

Just an update on this handsome c**t. Trooper had a difficult birth and I had to reach in, untangle him, pull him out with all my strength.. then the hard part came.

He instantly stood but was completely stressed, he was all windswept, had relaxed tendons on the back and contracted tendons on the front, along with a swollen knee.

Trooper couldn’t latch, we tried for hours and when attempting to give him a bottle he also could not figure that out.

His owner was at work and told me to do whatever I had to, to save him. I called our local Vet, Dr. Ridgeway who came and tubed him and gave both mom and him a few shots of vitamins. Within 1.5 hours of the shots he latched..

His owner came and rushed them both to Kelowna to Okanagan Equine Veterinary so he could get around the clock care.

It was touch and go but Trooper earned his name and this big c**t is doing amazing. You’d never know the challenges he has faced by looking at him now.

What exceptional care he received and I’m so happy his owner gave him the chance he deserved. He is one stunning c**t!

He is an absolute tank and his markings are drool worthy.

This quote can be a hard one to swallow. I’m certainly not perfect and when my kids do something and are not truthful I have to remind myself to not react when they do tell me the truth, even if I’m upset.

I think this is a good reminder in horses as well. They can’t lie to us, but they can act out and have opinions about things and instead of getting angry we need to simply correct and move on. We can match their energy but how often do you see a horse holding a grudge after they get kicked by another horse? Never .. in fact they learn boundaries and move on.

I think we need to remember that especially when it comes to young horses. Some challenge us more than others and I think it’s a wonderful learning opportunity.

Bobby started off as a spicy boy, he would escape, not want to be caught, put his feet down and not be lead, kick you if you touched his bum and only liked to be touched on his terms.

We have worked with him and he is now an easy going boy who still has the fire inside him and I think that will serve him well and he will be confident and take his person any direction you ask.

At only 3 months old he is a beacon of light and a tank.. don’t miss out on this c**t..

PRR Dakota’s Thunder

Dakota packs it all with her bloodlines, conformation, temperament and her results came back.. she has a ton of colour possibilities.. but the one I was mostly looking for was grey!

I thought she was but I also like to be 100% sure and now that I am I will be retaining her for my program!! I tried not to get too excited when she first arrived but I had all things crossed hoping and I got what I wished for!

I have retained a filly from each of my stallions now and am slowly building my own brand which is the ultimate goal, although some horses will never leave me and outside bloodlines is always required.

Dakota is only a month old and I’m very pleased with how she’s unfolding and filling out.

Ivy is a big filly who will be ready to make her way to her next family shortly.

She has such a kind eye and quiet, but friendly deposition. Something about her energy I find comforting.

She is age appropriately trained and up to date on feet, worming etc.
