New blend: "Not Mom's Basement Tea" ✨ when our cells for one reason or another become malnourished, dehydrated, unable to oxygenate/gas exhange, or detox, they inevitably loose vitality.
Loss of vitality translates to loss of tone.
Loss of tone = loss of function. (Think about the pasty dude playing video games in mom's basement living on pop and mr. Noodles. vs. The dude out hiking, eating good food, drinking outta the creek and getting a good sleep)
Macro and microcosm.
A lot of issues in the body, conditions and diseases, if we're actually looking at them holistically come back to this as one of the main underlying causes.

This one is also a nice anti-inflammatory, anti aging, adaptogen, and nervous system support.... because plants are cool and do lots of things! And it even tastes good! Hot or cold.

Medicine kit Herb 😍 Did you know that Yarrow (achillea millefolium) is one of the only circulatory stimulants that is cooling? A very unique and very useful quality to have when you need to move the blood but reduce heat and inflammation. Yarrow is one of those herbs that if there was a book written about just it, you'd need a forklift to lift it onto your desk🌿

always feels like a special moment when the harvest day comes for these beautiful plants 🥰 Milky Oats are one of my favourite herbs for nourishing, healing and repairing the nervous system. So much so that they get to fall under the fancy category of a "nervine trophorestorative."
I love all the nerdy and fascinating scientific terms and details, but at the end of the day I always find that what we actually experience and FEEL in our bodies, and even emotions from plants is what really clicks with people. I give Milky Oat remedies to a lot of the people I work with... most of them are curious and ask in one way shape or form "what does it do?"
With this lovely healing plant I usually just end up saying: Well.... it's kiiiinda like if someone took your whole nervous system and just gently dipped it in a big tub full of warm milk and honey 🥰
Think about holding a warm bowl porridge with cinnamon and brown sugar and fresh cream between your hands. Yep. Pretty nice on those old frazzled nerves. 💗
This little plant is ready to harvest when the "milk" drips from the seeds when squeezed. The energetics of Milky Oats are cooling and moistening. It is one of the herbs I like using for "recovery"...particularly when someone is really depleted either from an injury (particularly to the nerves), or from long term stress or debility of any kind. 💗
When we go through a big change or healing process it's like a turn of seasons. I love that harvesting this beautiful crop is a reminder of that. 🌀🌿🌞🌿🌀

Gumweed. 🌼 Super fancy scientific technical terminology: "When you've got the lurgy and the goo in your lungs looks and feels like the gunk coming out of these flowers, this plant will help you hoik it up and get it outta there" 🌼

Love these weird little sticky flowers! "Grindellia" such a pretty name too for a plant that lives by the ocean.
Gumweed is a powerful antimicrobial, expectorant, aromatic, and respiratory antispasmodic. It helps to fight off infection and lift stuck gunk up and out of the lungs. Kind of a sweet but butt kicker of a plant.
(Don't drop it on the ground once you've picked it... About the same effect as trying to scoop your porridge out of the sand.)
