Sweet evolution 🌳☔️ I love traditions that just happen on their own.... these awesome little humans (that aren't so little anymore) braved the pouring rain (again) this year going back to harvest buds from our big old Cottonwood tree buddy today. The best batch we ever made was from a day we picked in the rain, got drenched, was late in the season, and froze our butts off! So now that's our little tradition so we had to take another picture of the kids under the same tree years later! 🌳☔️✨ Every year we learn more about the incredible plants and trees around us 🤩 can't wait to see how this year's batch of Cottonwood oil turns out and to be able to share it with people who need it's medicine throughout the year 🥰

Dandelion-Elderflower Spritzers! And the coolest little herb fairies around! In this week's class, these kiddos made their own all purpose garden salve, and some very refreshing dandelion elderflower spritzers!
We had a firsthand lesson in how cooling these herbs are especially combined with tonic water which contains quinine… Bark from the Cinchona tree, which is an old remedy for malarial fever. The cooling effect definitely works! Because we were all shivering after drinking our yummy drinks!
These kids are always such good sports and have learned so much over the last few years coming to herb class! So much fun!
