Update: I am hobbling around in my airboot which helps keep my ankle secure. I am working just taking less people per day for the next few weeks. Waiting on an ultrasound to see how bad the tendons are affected, follow up xray in 4 more weeks and then physio.
Thanks for the concerns and prayers. Im not in extreme pain, more of an ache all day. My heels hurt the most, and Im feeling it in my hips from the unbalanced leg. Onward and upward!!! See you soon!
Even therapists need some TLC!

Wonderful Clients. I broke my ankle last night. I will be off work for the remainder of this week and see how next week goes. I will be working. Among modified schedule and modified work sessions. Please bear with me while I heal. I will call if I need to cancel an appointment. Please wait for me to call you. For now and the weekend I will be healing!!!

My wonderful clients, would anyone be interested in volunteering on a board? We need a treasurer (preferable someone good with accounting), a fundraiser (casino night and lottery), and possibly someone who is good with organizing.
Another bonus if you are good at understanding how to run board meetings, understanding legalities (bylaws and regulations).
You can be a senior, parent, over 18, experienced or not.
Hit me up. To be honest we are desperate. Let me know.

FYI!!!

We are very excited to share that the research group at the University of Alberta is accepting study registrants for their Lymphedema Registry!

Why is this important?
Building a strong network of lymphedema patients, caregivers, and professionals that help treat these patients holds the potential to greatly improve patient outcomes and direct resources where they are needed most. Moreover, this registry will be useful for guiding future research and identifying potential therapeutic targets.

How can you help?
If you have lymphedema, you may be eligible for inclusion in the registry. If you are a therapist or otherwise involved in the lymphedema community, you can share this with your patients and contacts.

Lipedema doesn’t follow a single path; it affects everybody differently. Some experience changes in early life, others much later. Some face pain, others swelling, mobility challenges, or misdiagnosis. No two stories are the same. But this community makes it possible to learn from one another and find strength in shared experience.

Anyone on here in the health care field or interested in helping the community by attracting doctors and also sharing some love?
Ive been on the Sylvan HART committee for 2 years and my term is almost up. I wont be renewing for now. They meet one time a month and some extra work if theres ongoing projects. Anyways the board will be taking resumes soon so if you are interested in volunteering, check out the sylvan lake careers section and select committees and boards. Read about the committee and consider sending your resume in. Also let me know so I can put in a good word lol.
