🌿 Sabbath Reflection 🌿

Sometimes God confirms our calling in the most unexpected places. Today, I walked into what I thought was a job interview, but I walked out with something far greater—a reminder that He has called me to shine His light in a different way. ✨

When we show up authentically, speaking from the heart, He opens doors we never imagined and connects us with people who affirm the gifts He’s placed inside of us.

This Sabbath, I’m resting in the truth that God doesn’t just guide our steps—He orders them. And even when the path looks different than we expected, His plans are always better. 💜

“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.” — Psalm 37:5

🦅 Sometimes, healing looks like rebuilding your nest—stick by stick.

As children, many of us didn’t get the safety or stability we needed. Our “nests” were messy, broken, or filled with things we didn’t choose—like fear, abandonment, or emotional chaos.

But healing means we get to rebuild.

Like the osprey, we learn to trust again.
We find the courage to land somewhere safe.
We gather what we need—even if it’s just one twig of truth at a time.

And when the time is right, we rise—stronger, wiser, freer.

💫 Your inner child deserves a new kind of home—one where she feels seen, safe, and strong enough to fly.

Most of us weren’t taught how to speak gently to ourselves. We learned how to criticize, judge, and push through. But your healing begins the moment you start offering the words you needed to hear as a child.

What’s something you wish you heard more of growing up?

Drop it in the comments or message me—I’d love to reflect on that with you.

Do you treat yourself after you’ve accomplished a goal, completed a hard task or done something that took a lot of grit?

Sometimes Healing looks like mint chocolate chip Ice cream in a waffle cone… and parking it in front our jag just because I can. 😎🖤

When you’ve done the hard inner work, treat yourself like someone worth celebrating—because you are.

Here’s to progress, peace, and the little joys that taste like freedom. 🍦✨

Being kind and understanding does not mean tolerating disrespect.

There is a quiet danger in becoming so understanding that you begin to disappear.

God calls us to love others — but never at the expense of abandoning the person He created us to be.

Kindness is beautiful.
Forgiveness is powerful.
But enduring disrespect is not holiness — it’s self-abandonment in disguise.

You were never meant to carry silent pain just to keep the peace.

Your voice matters. Your boundaries are sacred. And honoring them is not rebellion — it’s obedience to the One who created you with worth.

Let the cracks become openings where God’s healing light pours in.
Let your breath return. Let your spirit rise.
You are not here to be trampled —
You are here to stand in truth, wrapped in grace. 🦋

“Being kind and understanding does not mean tolerating disrespect.
Honor your worth — boundaries are love in action.” With Love Coach Tanya

🌻Vulnerable Post🌻
Yesterday I was told something that both confirmed my fears…and gave me a sense of peace…(well, still working on the peace part)

I’ve always known that I listened a bit differently — I’ve been what some might call a “visual listener” for most of my life. I can recall my Mom having to come get me in person for supper or to get my attention if I was focused on something. As I grew up, I learned to rely on tone, body language, & energy just as much as words. For much of my life, I chalked that up to personality or preference.

I’ve been on a journey for about 6-8 months now, as my hearing has taken a decline — especially the lower tones. But yesterday, after my second hearing test, I learned the in-depth truth: The Audiologist explained that I was most likely born with a mild congenital hearing loss — missing some of the tiny hairs on the cochlea bone that allow us to hear (for me it’s the low tones). And now, as I age, the high tones are beginning to fade too.

The Audiologist gently told me, “Your hearing loss is one of the trickiest to tackle as the hearing aids you’d need can cause feedback.”

And you know what? That hit me deeper than I expected. Not just finding out about my condition, but because of the symbolism.

How many of us go through life trying to “hear clearly,” only to be met with static, distortion, or silence? How often do we feel like our own voice causes feedback — like we’re too much or not enough?

But here’s what I do know:
🦋This isn’t the end of the story. It’s just a deeper layer of understanding.
🦋God doesn’t make mistakes. He designed me, to listen differently, to lead with empathy, to see what others miss.
🦋And now I get to support myself with tools that help me hear the fullness of life again — because I’m worth it.

This is your reminder, friend:
Whatever diagnosis, detour, or delay you’re facing — it doesn’t disqualify you. It may just be the very thing God uses to fine-tune your calling.

P.S. I did tell the audiologist that it was a good thing that I already knew ASL!! 😉

About Me

Born and raised in Southern California, I moved to the South (Atlanta, GA) in 1985. I was intrigued by the beauty industry and during my senior year of high school while working under an amazing lady, I decided this was what I wanted to do. Thus started my education, my mentorship and passion. Over the last 3 decades, I worked part-time in the industry while raising 3 children. Once they’d flown the coop, I started back up more full time. I have taken countless classes, continued education and even refresher courses at my local beauty college in order to keep up to date and bring you the best possible experience.

I became an educator so I could help and mentor other nail techs become the best versions of themselves possible. I believe in supporting each other and encouraging one another. As a Nail professional, I am committed to offering the highest quality products in each and every service. I take my time as a good set of nails is a work of art. My goal is to preserve the health of your natural nail so each set is sculpted and customized for your nail shape and structure aiming to give you stunning enhancements. I am always looking for new innovative ideas for art and will try just about anything your imagination can throw at me.
